  1. This boils down to an insurance issue right? As long as kids are on active rosters, they are still covered by the KHSAA and school insurance until the end of the KHSAA calendar [second week of June]? That's why no one can be at school or wearing a school uniform.
  2. If there ever was a year for the KHSAA to tinker with reducing the playoffs to two teams per district, it's this one. Move the start of the season back a week, keeping everyone's same sequence of games. If they want to see what it looks like financially and competitively to go back to two teams, try it this year.
  3. Harris was in the girls All-A Region championship game at Trigg but they lost to Dawson Springs in the championship game.
  4. Good coach. He can be abrasive which may explain the inability to lay down roots for a long coaching stay.
  5. There is some young talent here, but it's an obvious rebuild job. The 13th District is gradually improving, but Logan County is still the top dog here.
  6. I also finished the second Blood vs Water but can't find the thread on it. I liked the season. I liked the cast. I thought Natalie played a good game and Missy and Baylor were good to look at. I was surprised the critics didn't like it as much. I'm up to Cambodia - Second Chance. I thought it was dumb how they introduced the cast live. Took away from the reunion show.
  7. Just finished it. Not a bad season. Dan was annoying and deserved a lot, but Jeff really threw him under the bus on the reunion show. I didn't realize they let Carolyn's daughter sub for her on the reunion show. It was a good season until it got predictable midway through and Jenn gave up. Will may have been the most useless member to get to the final three in recent memory. Shirin looked like a gal I used to date. Sierra seemed like a cool chick. I was surprised the critics hated this season. The reunion show was terrible.
  8. I'm going to watch the same eight baseball games over and over and over again on ESPN Classic. Wait. Chris Chambless just hit a walk-off home run again.
  9. Insurance is a biggie. Rental of college facilities for state tournaments is another.
  10. Yes. 1999-2000. His quarterback was Mr. Football Travis Atwell. They lost to Beechwood in the Class A championship in 1999. He was also the head coach at Campbellsville University for two seasons.
  11. It wasn't a good night for Len Elmore. He was consistently wrong in analyzing game trends and even questioned if Laettner's stomp was deliberate.
  12. I finished watching this one earlier today. I really liked this one. I thought the new angle of family and being able to switch with them was a good one. A few thoughts. - Tyson played the best strategy game since Kim in One World. For someone to go from voting himself out to winning is pretty impressive. - I think I said this before but Colton is a bad person. If I never see Colton on TV again, that would be OK with me. - Kudos to the game Caleb played. I thought it was pretty great to see him advance so much farther than Colton. It's a shame Caleb died in a train crash a year later. I think he would have been a returning player at some point. - I had watched every episode until Season 19. I honestly didn't remember who Aras was. I had to look him up and was shocked to see he won what was obviously a forgettable season. - It was goof to see them back in the water for most of the challenges. - Candace was annoying in Cook Islands and even more annoying when she flipped on her alliance in Heroes vs Villians. Then she gets mad when someone flips and votes out her husband? Come on. - I'd like to see Gervase's niece return. I think she would be a strong player.
  13. I didn't realize we were neighbors. I did the same thing
  14. The hospital in Hopkinsville began an express lab last week and had over 130 people test. They were told turnaround would be 48-72 hours. Six days later, no returned test results from Lab Corp in North Carolina. Hospitals are not allowed to conduct COVID tests in their own labs unless they are federally approved. They have partnered with two other places and are obviously not happy with Lab Corp.
  15. I finished this one this week. Props to Phillip for playing a much better game this time around even though it didn't matter. The returning players have so much of an advantage that I wasn't shocked that Cochran won. I was shocked that Dawn made it that far. I'm good if I don't see her again. I like Malcolm but he really over-thought this one. Shemar and Corinne are two of the most annoying people to play. I wasn't surprised to see Corinne crash and burn on the Amazing Race also. I was surprised the entire cast wasn't at the finale. I then did some reading. Several were public in their displeasure of how they were treated and apparantly weren't told of the format switch until the day of the finale and after they had flown family out. I'm also surprised it took this long for a in-camp meltdown from someone. Props to Jeff Probst for keeping Brandon's meltdown from getting worse. Not a bad season. A little better than the previous few.
  16. Finished watching this one this week. Kim is one of the best game players Survivor has had. Colton may have been one of the worst people to play. Not worst player but just a bad person. I'm surprised Chelsea didn't fare better at the finale. Other than a few, it was a pretty forgettable cast
  17. Can't recruit shooters to UK and put them on a short leash. See Matthews, Dodson, Baker, and now Juzang
  18. North Carolina State over Houston was one for all of the underdogs. NC State profited from the ACC experimenting with the 3-point line during conference play. I think Duke's 1992 win over Kentucky pretty much staked them as the villian of college basketball from that date forward. People rooted for Duke to beat UNLV in the previous years and wore the white hat until that year. Laettner's antics solidified them as the college team people love to root against and it started that night in the Spectrum.
  19. Honestly, I think this is what western Kentucky had from Thanksgiving to Christmas. People flooded the doctor's office and took flu tests only for them to come back negative. People hacked and coughed a felt bad for a month and a little into January when some schools closed due to low attendance. Maybe that's why there are fewer cases in WKY than the rest of the state. It's run its course through the house and left. From what I've read, most of the cases in WKY involve people who traveled and returned or older people with underlying conditions. Cases are up because testing has increased and people now know what the fever and cough are. They didn't know in December because there was no testing. I'm just shocked that we didn't have a vaccine for this. It makes me question the millions of dollars used on studies to measure the amount of methane gas produced with farts or whether you can catch the flu by licking doorknobs. This whole pandemic proves we as Americans aren't remotely close to being prepared for the insurgence of a contagious virus.
  20. Yeah. It's a shame that's what that season is going to be remembered for.
  21. The coronavirus just got vaccinated against Chuck Norris.
  22. Sooooo, with the KHSAA spring dead period here I need something to do. I purchased a Hulu subscription and have decided to go back and start watching Survivor. I had seen every episode through Season 19. I began with #20 All-Stars. I just finished Nicaugura. Good to see Fabio win. This season may have had some of the worst players since Thailand. Who gives away immunity idols? Who quits over halfway through? I would have liked to have seen Jimmy Johnson last longer. 45-year old Jimmy Johnson may have done that. It's obvious central casting is more interested in eye candy than strategy when it comes to women. Probst is an executive producer on the show. He is involved in show decisions which is why he seemed more persuasive at Tribal Council about votes and tried talking the two women out of quitting. Afterward, even Probst called this one of the worst seasons up to this point. My favorite scene was Jane throwing water on the campfire before she was getting voted out. On to Redemption Island.
  23. That South Spencer thing didn't go as well as planned. I think he'll have some success at Apollo.
  24. I'm normally in the camp to modernize things (such as classification), but I don't see the need for one. There aren't many teams these days outside the First Region that take more than 24 or 30 seconds to shoot. I also agree on who to get to run the shot clock. We already have 1-2 stoppages a game to correct the score or wake the clock guy up to start the clock. If you want to make a change for the better, get rid of three-man officiating crews who focus on an area and not the ball and go back to two-man crews who pay more attention to the action and not a space on the floor.
  25. Instead of requesting a last meal before the death of his athletic career, future Cincinnati Bengal Joe Burrow chose a cigar.
