Interesting stat. Campbellsville hasn’t won at KCD since 2004. Kentucky Country Day was in its 2nd season of 11 man football.

I’m not gonna lie, that has been my prediction. I'm glad it’s not just me. I do think in this Pikeville game that the Rams have that extra fuel knowing they had Pikeville dead to right and was ALL them until that Lightning delay in that first game. To come back out and lose that game and have that thorn in there side all season.

The Rams are 2-1 at home during state semifinal games. Williamsburg beat them 34-8 in 2014.

Nothing like seeing new teams rise up in Kentucky high school football.

Bell will have to basically play keep away and limit the amount of offensive possessions for CAL to win this game. Milk the clock and get scores on those drives. Bell Co has a solid defense and a solid secondary. Quarterback has quite a few career interceptions. They will need him to be big on both sides of the ball.

Maybe they are due to break through. 3rd time is a charm.

It seems to me like since 2022 the 3rd round has been a mess weather wise whether it was rain, snow, wind or all. Then the next week it has been fairly perfect football weather.

All I can say is Raceland dominated this game early in the year, then a lightning delay and then Pikeville came out and put up 35 unanswered on Raceland. I expect if Raceland gets the lead and goes up by a couple scores they may try to score as many as they can and not let what happen the last time happen again. So the boot will stay on the throat.

Campbellsville is making its 3rd straight State Semifinals appearance in 3 years. Campbellsville comes into this matchup 11-1 on the season and beating Newport Central Catholic 28-0 in round 3. Kentucky Country Day is also making its 3rd straight State Semifinals appearance in 3 years. They also sit at 11-1 on the season. There lone loss came to this Campbellsville team back in October as they lost 27-17. Kentucky Country Day beat Newport 37-6 in round 3 of the playoffs. Who wins this 1A Showdown on Black Friday to go to the ship? Does Campbellsville come into Kentucky Country Day and beat them again? Does Kentucky Country Day avenge its regular loss and play for the state championship?

The defensive ends for Campbellsville are the real deal. They owned the LoS on defense. I like New Cath played hard to final Whistle and left it all out on the field.
