Catholic had their chances. JJ Ogbogu went to the free throw line down 1 with 38 seconds left and missed both. That was right after a Donovan Morris 3 rimmed out. Darius Williams had 32 and the block to win. Hollingsworth for Dunbar had around 18 and the game winner with about a minute left. Morris had 20 and Luke Johnson also played well. You could definitely tell that it was Morris, Ogbogu, and Peter Whitman's first game back. Great crowd, playoff atmosphere.

59-57 Dunbar with about 2:30 left in the 4th. Darius Williams with 32 for the Bulldogs. Good one going one.

49-42 Dunbar now leads heading into the 4th. Bulldogs came out really strong in the 3rd quarter. Darius Williams has 25 or 23.

Both teams have turned it over a lot in the first.

31-26 LexCath leads at half. Luke Johnson for LC with 13. Darius Williams for Dunbar with 13. LexCath lists Ogbogu at 6'4 for basketball according to the announcers, giving him at least 3 inches maybe 4 lol. For comparison the football team has always listed him at 6'1.

12-10 Catholic leads. Been a sloppy game so far. Ogbogu and Morris look a little rusty after only having 1 practice but their athleticism is needed to match up with Dunbar. Peter Whitman is also back but he looks very tired, his first game back from injury. Luke Johnson and Tavieon Hollingsworth are balling out.

I honestly couldn't tell you if they deserve to be ranked but LexCath was missing 3 starters for that one. I'll defer to y'all.

Improved so much from his freshman year to now its ridiculous. Also helps to be naturally gifted enough to windmill dunk at 6'1. Crazy hops.

Biggest problem offensively for LexCath in that game was not being able to run the ball against 2 high safeties. Allowed Belfry to drop 8 into coverage on long passing downs. Same thing happened in the Cooper game

#33 is a pretty good showing for LexCath especially since the school only just completed their 25th season of football.

Couldn't even wait a week? I kid, I kid. I'd be excited for next years team as well if I were a Pirate fan. Will be the class of 3a and the heavy favorite. Add in that the rest of the top 5 in 3a from last season (IMO) were all senior laden teams that lost a lot and it will most likely be another championship season for Belfry.

Exactly. LC got running clocked this weekend and I'd rather that happen again next year than win without Belfry playing.

Kid has got a lot of angry people from the Male community mad at him on Twitter. Cursing at him and saying how overrated he is, I 100% guarantee they wouldn't say it to his face though. I'll give some of Male's players credit they are being complimentary and saying they respect his opinion. More the adults being the bad eggs.

Forgot to add this. Congrats to Belfry! Great team. Would be absolutely shocked if anyone is close to them next year in 3A and will be one of the tops in the state regardless of class, again.

Belfry was just so so so much better in the lines. They weren't slouches at the skill positions either. To the Knights, hold your heads high, you had a fantastic season. Look at previous threads on here and no one outside of the LexCath community thought you would get here. Went on the road and beat #3 #4 #5 in 3A. You have a lot to be proud of and brought the program to a stage not seen in 8 years.

Thanks. Sounds like tonight was a good game but one with both teams having full rosters would be a dandy. Nice to develop depth though.
