  1. I think Ballard might be to athletic for T. Plus they have a guy to match Spalding height.
  2. Going to be a good 7th region tournament. I don't believe Trinity will make it to the sweet 16
  3. If Ballard is to match up with Trinity, it will be at Valley High School with another regions refs. Not sure what region, but this game seems to make since for Ballard in that regards.
  4. There should have never been a issue at the gate. Sometimes processes are more complicated that they really need to be. I've been to many big AAU tournaments and there was never a issue with players & coaches at the gate. Sad things except for the police & player, everyone works for the same entity.
  5. Is this the record for 3s in a game or total overall # of 3s for career?
  6. TheVille teams are done after a great run and AAU Championship. All players should be off to the next level (either playing or just being a college student).
  7. This was a great district game that was competitive to the end. I love those type of games. I believe Jtown came out the gate too fast and have to learn to finish the game in tight situations. I was very impressed with the way Creek played when the game could have got away from them early. You don't see freshman in Jefferson county do those things. If those guys stay together & welcome new comers in the future, the 6th region is there for the taking. Johnson played well but had some turnovers that hurt a little. Fatigue is partially the issue as he has to be on the floor for 30+ minutes. Creek took away the 3, so he did well getting to the basket an either scoring or finding the open man. And at times when Johnson had opportunity for a 3, he knocked it down. This point in the season, all of Jtown offensive play has been scouted to the point where good defensive teams take away what is going to happen & Creek did that for most of the night.
  8. How does news like that travel down to Boyle County?
  9. Jeffersontown is 100% on the nice list. I guess with the threat of paying money, team will comply...
  10. JEFFERSONTOWN only added a game & half. Not sure if that is really compliance..
  11. Re-read what was stated... Everything doesn't have to be difficult and everybody is not trying to get over anyone. A coach was standing up for a player his team. This is a very poorly ran event. Considering Central didn't know what was required for Saturday morning planning until 11:00 Friday night, very sure something like a team breakfast is happening. If kid didn't arrive with the team, 1 can understand considering the timing being a quick turnaround between game and the kid situation.
  12. It is JCPS Athletics rule.. If you don't make the tournament, you can try to find a game for Thursday of that week.
  13. I don't believe Valley Station has its' own force. All games I attended out there has been Louisville Metro Police.
  14. The smallest schools opt out. But 6th/7th regions schools are not allow to play during LIT week unless you are in the tournament. If you don't make the tournament, you can play a game on Thursday during LIT week (only 20 teams make the tournament, so your schedule is blank for the week until the tournament schedule comes out).
  15. He is not the best of coaches but has more control of his team...
  16. Should Ballard & Trinity meetup, it will be in the Regional. Should be a nice match up tonigh. I will take Ballard with the coaching...
  17. Updated story... With coach side of things.. Overzealous police and badly ran event... JCPS is about money and not about the kids. Central coach Bibby cited by police, suspended from LIT | USA Today High School Sports | USA Today High School Sports
  18. If it was Trinity, there would have not been a issue. The Louisville Police would not have been involved..
  19. Keep in mind that Central played late last night which means kids did not get home til late but have to be back early in the morning keep in mind Valley loacation to where the kids live). This kid was coming in as a team, so there should not have been a question he was with the team. Why is there a major issue about a kid about to play bringing his breakfast to the game? Why is the coach character being questioned for protecting his kid intention for wanting to eat breakfast before a big game? The team was coming in a team gate, so why major police presence? Every thing about Valley & LIT screams money.....
  20. Plus Doss arrived 10 before game time, not sure what was up with that...
  21. The kids playing for Jefferson Co Schools. Why not let them eat their food so they can perform for JCPS and their sponsors. This is a early morning game, the kids from Central played late last night. Plus a police is harnessing a player that the coach is responsible for. Why not let a $5 meal come through the gate? They guy is about to play ball.
  22. Valley & jobs protecting food revenue.. A player from the team was trying to bring his breakfast into gym to enjoy before game. Coach protecting his player as they are his responsibility.
  23. 7th region is up from grabs this year. For a while, I thought Trinity was a lock. Ballard, Manual, Central, and Trinity looks to make it fun. Especially with different referees doing the games.
  24. It seems that Central is giving it to Trinity... "@freelancehack: If halftime was to be the wake-up call for Trinity, then it looks like they hit the snooze bar. 2:15 left in the 3Q, Central still up 42-28"
  25. I can see DeSales beating Doss. But having Manual win it all? They will need everyone to step up to help Sutton.
