  1. Boyle County by a running clock in the 2nd quarter. They killed CAL. Now it's Highland's turn in the woodshed. Rebels by as much as they want.
  2. Have they ever had a running clock at the start of a game? If not, this one might merit that.
  3. Hopefully they will lose the game against Caldwell County, but I have my doubts.
  4. If Sindelar is healthy, he's one of the top quarterbacks in the country. I've seen him a lot over the years, and he is at the top of his game right now.
  5. I believe in our QB, Smith. He has a better down field arm than Wilson, and that should open up the playbook a lot for Gran, and shouldn't hurt the run by commitee of Rose, Smoke, and Rodriquez either. Cats win 31-10. Jump on 'em early and win big.
  6. I'll always root for Caldwell County, but Hoptown is a very good team. Good luck to both moving toward.
  7. Great article, bro! Westsider was a great guy and thinking about him can bring on a lot of emotions. At first I was a little sad, then it brought a smile to my face, because he didn't want to see anybody sad. @Purple88, thank you.
  8. @theguru were you at the game also? I am in Lexington for the UK game tomorrow, and caught the St. X-Henry Clay game, while sitting with @newarkcatholicfan and @Tigerpride94. Awesome guys! I really enjoyed it. Beau Allen is the real deal too.
  9. All of this talk of Beechwood would have beat Mayfield. I'm by no means a Mayfield fan, but I have 1 question for y'all. Has Beechwood ever beaten Mayfield? Mayfield is a force whenever they walk on the field.
  10. I love my hometown Tigers, but they are gonna have to play a much better game against Apollo than they did last week or it will be a long night at Tiger Stadium. Just my opinion.
  11. As a Caldwell County fan, I'd say Mayfield's last down year in football was probably sometime around 1776 or so. We had some success against them during the Sindelar years, but even with that special talent at QB we went 2-2 against them.
  12. @newarkcatholicfan I'd love to meet you and hear of your travels to watch football.
  13. I'll be in Lexington Friday for the UK game on Saturday. So, I'd love to meet up with y'all at Lexington Catholic for the Bluegrass Bowl. Inbox me of you want. We can talk football and @Tigerpride94, you could tell me about your team. After being at the home game last week for my Caldwell County Tigers, I could use having a good time, as that was a VERY emotionally heavy night after the loss of Coach Barnes only 6 days earlier. Hope to see y'all.
  14. I will preface this by saying that I very rarely have anything bad to say about the sports writers in our state, as they sacrifice a lot of time covering the sports we love, but this has to be said. Anything having to do with Paxton Media Group, Willman's employer, is hot garbage for sure. The only person I have trusted over the years in this area is Todd Griffin, and he left the Caldwell County Times-Leader a week after it was bought out by the Paxton Group. It's too bad these ballots aren't cast in a serious manner. That ballot is pure trash.
  15. Sweet16, that is true, a 65 yard punt return by Baron Wells.
  16. That said, Coach McGowan did a fine job tonight in a tough situation, and Baron Wells was a beast on returns.
  17. Coach Barnes would be proud of his Tigers tonight. Seeing the players carry out the jerseys of the 2 fallen players that would have been seniors this year was very emotional for sure. Moments like that make me proud to be a Tiger. #BarnesStrong
