Jamar Stoner is the injured star for the freshmen rocks. He is a difference maker on both sides of the ball. He broke his foot participating in freshmen orientation games.:cry:

These are the same folks that voted Sam Robey first team all-state at offensive tackle after his sophomore season. Name recognition works in these polls just like in politics.

Trinity has a larger advantage in the kicking game than at the beginning of the season. Earlier, someone asked about the Trinity center and yes he has been replaced due to injury. The new center played well versus Eastern. As far as the best defense Trinity has or will face all year, I'd have to go with the number 2 team in USA Today Super25. Bowling Green has an outstanding offense and the Rocks weathered that storm. Make my prediction 21-7, Rocks.

I'll go with Henry Clay, easily. I base this on returning athletes and experience in recent big games.

Resources? These coaches are paid a mere pitance for coaching. Some of the JCPS offer thier kids bus rides home, direct to their door with activii=ties buses. We have kids catching TARC late. Manual is the second oldest public high school in Jefferson County. If your alumni won't support you,. whose fault is that?

I witnessed two hours of the Rocks practice yesterday. Coach Beatty had their attention;) . The fact the running game didn't work against the Bombers, the point of emphasis this week may be to have Tim and friends run, run and run some more. Ferguson and his teammates may pay the price for Trinity's frustration. Trinity has won 29 of 31 (93.5%) versus the Eagles since this series started in 1977. Not yet. "Could" beat Male and St. X.......that has been true for a couple of seasons.... The Crimsons need to beat St. Xavier this year. Otherwise, it's the same old results for duPont Manual. Male will surprise St. X 35-28. The Bulldogs line is playing better than expected on both sides of the ball. The skill folks are there. The QB has played well. Team speed is a huge factor in favor of Male.

Litkenhous ratings have been around since the 1930s. The were initially referred to as "score by difference" ratings in the Courier-Journal. They were originally used by many newspapers nationwide for college rankings. High school came about as an afterthought. The creator of this system was a professor at U of L. His brother helped and later his son kept the ratings going. He would not predict against gambling "spreads" but his "winners only" ran 90% or better! I do feel this system is a fairly accurate in identifying who will win.

The KHSAA did investigate this matter and found no wrong doing. He coaches these girls before they reach high school.

Update, one more Bear bit the dust according to their staff. A starting DB. So that's 27% of their starters. Rick Pitino or Rich Brooks must be running their practices.

Depends on the rules of the specific school district they are trying to enroll their child. Every county or independent public school district chooses who can and cannot attend their school. They cannot exclude those who live within their "district". Does "in school suspension" exist all over the state? That's how Jefferson County deals with many of their problem kids.

They are an independent school. They control who attends their school from outside the district and the folks that reside in Ft. Thomas do an excellent job of controlling who moves into their district per one of their Alumnus. "I never went to school with a minority classmate until I reached college". This gentleman is 46 years old. He added"This is a very close-knit community". My point is independent schools can take kids from all over. The boundaries that Mr. Sears would have you believe exist are not as limiting to independent schools as other schools. Each county makes it's own set of rules on who can and cannot attend their schools from outside their "boundary". I don't care why a kid chhoses to attend a certain school, it's that he can. The public school folks aren't as limited as it may seem on the surface.

Both. Injuries have already taken away three Bear starters. The all-time series is 7-5-1 advantage Rocks. No Appy State type upset win here. I also believe it will be a running clock early in the second half.

Having seen both teams, I believe LexCath actually has the better skill folks and their line is as big as St. Xavier's. Maybe the Knights can win this one against their old president, Bill Glaser , who now coaches the defensive live line for the Tigers. LexCath has to prove it on the field. I'll take St. X 24-21 in overtime as LexCath turns it over on an interception in the extra period.

You can't beat the success of the varsity Rocks. I'd urge any teams that have many juniors that aren't starting on the varsity to use them in their JV contests. Why let them rot on the sideline for a year? Current Trinity QB Will Stein did play varsity as a wideout and quarterbacked the JV last season. This season's back up QB, Cam Smyth, is leading the JV Rocks. Game experience is paramount to developing a football player. The JV game topic was mentioned in the 1940s between Male and Manual in the Courier Journal. Here's another fun point.....back in the 1920s-1940s the KHSAA allowed students to play 10 semesters of high school athletics and you could play until you turned 21. The Louisville Board of Education chose to allow their students to play until they turned 20. Students could play 4 years at Male or Manual and then play a fifth season at St. Xavier, which used the KHSAA rule.
