Just called Campbell County and they said the GAME IS ON!!!!!!! Glad to hear- Will be taking this game in tonight- looking forward to it!

DRAW IS DONE!!!!! Campbell county is opposite bracket of Sacred Heart -Mercer in same bracket as Campbell. From what I have seen-Campbell and Mercer (if they make it) would meet in semi-finals. Winner would meet Sacred Heart -again if they make it- in the finals

Who won freshman and Jv games?

I have no problem calling them the All A State Champs- they are the last team standing of all the small Schoold across the state

As far as Sacred Heart and Mercer county meeting in the title game-khsaa has nothing to do with that-its a draw to see where each region plays-so they could (possibly ) draw each other opening round -jus t saying

Game was scheduled for tonight (saturday 1-20) but was canceled / postponed due to Holy Cross winning the All A 9th region -per previous agreement

I think most (if not all ) of the Brossart faithful pretty much expected this game to have this outcome- Brossart would be pretty well taken care of in the first quarter and then we would finish the game with the score being rather lopsided. Can't believe this thread has been active for almost a week now! Time to move on- JMO

It was thrown out there that "if these 2 teams met later in the year the result would be different " and I'm assuming that meant that Newport would have an easier victory? This is what I don't get- why would one think one team would get better and improve and the other would remain where they were on game one of the season? It was a great game to start the season- well worth the $5 admission - the Mustangs almost pulled off the upset (going by preseason polls and rankings) it will go down as a loss and the Mustangs will move on to take on the Saints of St Pats and look to even their record
