Many people said that Etown only was undefeated because of their weak schedule, and they only had a one-dimensional run game. Welp, the last 2 weeks has proved that wrong.

How many times do games like these come down to who has the ball last? Hats off to both teams, great game and seasons.

Sounded like an ugly game with plenty of turnovers and penalties. Central made one more drive in the end.

Are both Arnette and Barbour healthy now? I ask because Central with them was totally different than without.

ETown has played an easier schedule than Tilghman, but they have taken care of their business by going undefeated. I think it would be fools gold to go into Etown looking for a cakewalk because of their schedule. Both teams have the ability to put up points and I look for this one to be a high scoring affair, as long as PT keeps its focus and plays all 4 quarters. I say the key to the outcome will be Etowns defense. I believe Etown will be able to score on PT, but how will their defense hold up to PT's offense who tends to score faster? If they can stop PT, it should be tight, but if PT breaks a couple more plays, they will pull away late. I am going to go with PT with a couple of late scores. 45-35

Adair has had a great season, but they have not faced anyone with close to the firepower of Caldwell. The only true test they had was against Etown and that did not turn out too well for them. I say Caldwell, comfortably 49-24

This is when I wish there were Friday and Saturday games being played, there are matchups Friday night that I would gladly drive 4 hours to go see if they were played Saturday. This is the week when everyone is looking for updates on other games. Great time of the year!

There is probably no way it will satisfy everyone-

As an outsider looking in on this game, I would hate to bet on either team. I really wish the KHSAA would consider scheduling some Saturday games so that fans could see some more games. Comparsions: Coaches- both excellent Strong programs- both Both good this year- double check I will give Central the slightest of margin edge because they are playing at home. Central 24-23 on a late field goal. Should be a great one no matter how it goes down-

PT up 28-3 @ the half

FC always has those one or two athletes who can burn you, but they just seemed too disorganized to put anything together earlier. If they have improved, they may surprise Etown with a couple of scores, but I just don't see them stopping E towns running game. Etown 37 FC 14

Union does a few things really well. They have a pretty good qb and rb that keep you off- balanced. I do not see a Union victory as a huge upset because Adairs' record is against less than stellar competition. I will take Union in a close one 23-21

Tilghmans offense is firing on all cylinders, and the defense seems to be improved. I predict this to be your typical first -round game. PT 42- 13

Yes, sometimes you could consider it a "14 point swing"

I an going with Union vs Adair just because I believe that they may be the most evenly matched. I am going to predict Union gets the win.

There always seem to be some "outlying circumstances" that seem to effect the outcomes in the playoffs. (such as injuries,travel, weather, etc.). You add them into a brutal gauntlet of games in the west this year, and there is a distinct chance that you have 5-6 possible teams out of the west. Boyle, Lex, Central, PT, Caldwell, E-Town. On paper, probably only half of those are considered serious, but they all have to play to get there, and that is where the grind of running the gauntlet along with those aforementioned outlying factors come into play. --Just saying, it could be a surprise----
