There are girls that can pull these moves off, you are correct. They are few and far between though. I was simply making a comparison between boys and girls. Sadly though I feel as if I may have given JV girls more credit than I should have.

No, they get called more often on girls, simply because they don't pull these moves off correctly. A 7th boys game has better footwork than a JV Girls game.

There is never a time that you do not have a pivot foot. On a jump step you essentially have 2 pivot feet and may not lift and replace either foot to the ground

The first foot you land with after you pick your dribble up is your pivot foot. On a RH layup that is typically your right foot. Once you pick that foot up you may not replace it on the floor or you have traveled. If you drag it, you have replaced it on the ground and therefore you have traveled.

I disagree. IF YOU KICK A RULE, it CANNOT BE DEFENDED and you deserve to receive a suspension. These guys kicked a rule as a crew therefore the entire crew is suspended. Had one spoken up and disagreed with the penalty enforcement that sole person would not have been suspended had they still went through with it like they did so that means 5 guys kicked this rule, how is having 1 more official there going to change the outcome. He could have kicked it just as easily. As to point 1. It wouldn't change a single thing in this game so why bring it up? Only thing I agree with is that if Murray's coach had been 2 yards off the field like required, he wouldn't have ended up with the penalty to begin with Also, where are you that they are only making 60 a Friday Night?

Why do we as a society feel the need as parents/fans feel the need to insert ourselves into a game that we merely paid to be a spectator? Do we not understand the definition of spectator? I have not once in my life yelled and an umpire or referee. 1. Because it is pointless, all it does is give you self gratification. Doesn't help the game one bit. 2. Because it is plain unsportsmanlike. Sports are an Avenue to teach our children how to work well in most workplaces in knowing how to work well with teammates/coworkers. 3. There is a good chance that there will not be 1 single player on that field that will ever be able to make it to the big leagues, shoot most won't even play in college.

Why are we so worried about embarrassing someone? If they don't want to be embarrassed then they need to work harder or quit. They don't have to play the game, they have options. Do you take extra bases? No. Do you strike out on purpose? No. There are ways of not running it up and I am sure Beechwood took those precautions. Please do not give everyone a flipping trophy because they participated. When those kids hit the real world after school they have no clue how to fail because everyone has babied them throughout their life.

I know we as fans are always hard on umpires, but there are a lot of really good ones out there. Who are some in your area?

I believe that blame goes on all coaches in general. I'm sure for officials it is really hard to figure out if a coach is calling for a "Time out" or to run the play "Five out" or "Side out" or any other combination they come up with. I'm betting the referees tend to be slow to whistle a timeout for that reason, causing missed timeouts when by the time they realize that yes it is a timeout, the ball is loose or going the other way

Softball is the same as baseball. The association that covers the 10th region also covers the 11th region. The 10th/11th region association covers both the 10th and 11th region tournaments. Baseball and Softball coaches like familiarity a lot more than basketball and football coaches is the only reason I can think of.
