I have to agree with you on most points however, The only thing as far as special teams that would give Conner the edge would be A KICKER. As far as coaches go, I have to say even. Unless you have ever coached at Holmes you would not understand. Coach Trosper is a very good coach and knows the game WELL. Coaching at Holmes is a tough Gig. Now Holmes had a few penalties early on. But they have worked on this issue. They cut their penalties down against Pendelton. Now they have had 2 weeks to get these type of issues worked out and have time to fine tune the new offensive scheme. I like you, believe that this is a tough game to pick. If the Dawgs come out firing on all cylinders and ironed out their mistakes it could be a long night for the cougars. If they don't it could be a long night for the Dawgs. My prediction: Dawgs 32 Cougars 14

You have to understand one thing This is the first year using this offensive scheme. Over the past few years they have basically run the pro I with no motion. this year they motion on every play. The majority of the penalties against Holy Cross were Motion, and chop blocks with a couple of personal fouls. I did Not see the Pendelton Co. game, but I understand that there were very few penalties. Regarding the Rivalry Comment. I think it did have a little to do with the game I also watched the game in person and twice on cable. As for passing, They can pass the ball. but the focus has been on the running game they had 1 passing TD called back against HC. that was for about 40 yds.

I can see why someone wouldn't want to play Highlands however, alot of those matchups you have listed may not go away. I know that Holmes played Boone, Simon, Campbell Conner all before they moved to 4A. You have to remember that there are only going to be 4 district games and you have to play 10. you will have to fill the schedule. Most likely you are going to play teams in your area. If for no other reason, to cut down your cost. Don't assume that just because one team has a recent run of success that they will be a power in 3 years. Look at Conner.

Yep, This one got ugly early 16-0 1Q 30-0 Half . Scott is undersized and NOT WELL COACHED. Way too many bad tendencies. poor pass coverage. Corner blitzes with no safety rotating over to cover. Spread offense not the way to go with these kids. Is going to be a long year for the freshman eagles.

Not sure on TD's I know James Miller at Holmes had 7 TD's first 2 games don't have stats from Pendelton Co. game my guess being that he had at least 1 seeing as they scored 54 points in that game.
