With the start of 6 classes and new districts next year what match-ups are we quite possibly seeing for the last time ever this year?

I can't say that I am sad to see any of those matchups end.

I can see why someone wouldn't want to play Highlands however, alot of those matchups you have listed may not go away. I know that Holmes played Boone, Simon, Campbell Conner all before they moved to 4A. You have to remember that there are only going to be 4 district games and you have to play 10. you will have to fill the schedule. Most likely you are going to play teams in your area. If for no other reason, to cut down your cost. Don't assume that just because one team has a recent run of success that they will be a power in 3 years. Look at Conner.

Possibly but the problem is that everyone has to fill a schedule with non-district games.

 

So if I were Holmes and I had to play CovCath/Highlands/Dixie/Scott I'd fill my 6 non district games with NCC, Newport, Beechwood, Holy Cross, and maybe a couple of 6A schools but maybe Pendleton Co. Grant Co. or another 3A or 4A schools. That's assumming all those schools need a game. That's still a pretty good schedule and there are some good gate games there too.

Possibly Corbin and Bell Co.
