  1. 17-6 LSU is who everyone is worried about? Come on, this team is tough and can rebound, but they do not shoot particularly well and have four guys who play a majority of the minutes. I'll take the Cats by 13...
  2. Gotta win. I like him, I like the momentum he has created, but we need to keep building the momentum. Things like fights, BB guns, and recruits dumping your program the week of signing day are not momentum builders. Oh, and the average at best seasons. Like a previous poster alluded to, you can only sell smoke and mirrors for so long.
  3. This thread is honestly hilarious. There lies a predicament in the fact that if you"re "punked", especially by an opposing football player you don't want to back down. On the other hand you have a group of individuals who have a reputation to uphold being a member of the UK football team. Honestly, if someone threatened my friends, or myself (especially back in college) I probably wouldn't back down. But I never had a rep that was magnified by the UK limelight. Especially as a QB, and an assumed leader, Barker IMO should be leaning more toward the "setting an example" and being a leader side of things. The other thing is, just go to a party if you wanna have that kind of fun. Why go to a bar where people probably know who you are and know you're underage. Not trying to sound condescending, but come on, Drew. Make better choices.
  4. Cats by 13 and play well. Weird stuff happens on the road though.
  5. I don't know, given all the trouble they have had this season. Plus, Lebron probably has 4 "Lebron" seasons left. I'm not buying it. The hype will continue after every season, but that is all it will be.
  6. First of all proud as ever for these guys fighting and not giving up. This team NEEDED a win like that. The "vets" really stepped up down the stretch. A few things to note: -I think they missed AP in a game like this. -Marcus Lee was NOT hurt, he is just not as good as WCS or Dakari. Let Cal play the guys he sees fit. -I agree with a previous poster that Lyles looked sluggish, not sure what was going on there. -I may be in the minority here, but I like Andrew Harrison in there as much as possible. -Also AK is a funny dude.
  7. I don't see the problem, but of course I'm a whiny UK fan..... Sure, we're in a great conference, but the smart UK fans know what we are so I don't think I'm pounding anything. Like another poster said, just win dog. UL is getting their chance to go up against an SEC team regardless. Best of luck!!
  8. Cats came out assertive early on. Solid game from KAT, also hit a nice three from the corner. I saw on KSR where WCS told coach Robic to keep him out so Marcus Lee could get some extra minutes. This team has gelled better than other UK teams early on in the season. The way this team plays D, and the togetherness will fill up the W column very quickly. I hope they don't get cute against Columbia by looking ahead to UNC.
  9. As for the game. UK squandered their opportunity to put UL away early by settling for field goals. The play book got very small, but I have to believe that is due to the lack of solid QB play, and lack of overall offensive talent. I'm sad to see Neal go, but HC jobs aren't jobs you turn down. Hopefully Towels can come back in next year with confidence and a better feel for the pocket. I wonder who will become OC? Any thoughts?
  10. HA! The only thing embarrassing was the drop pick that would have sealed the game. Both teams were chippy the whole game. Classic UL fan to call it "bush league" when they opponent punches back.
  11. I liked what I saw. But, man, that onside kick run back stung! I was furious after that. Team is improving week by week. I think the main thing is that Patty Ice is delivering like a big time QB should. He is tough, wants to win more than anyone, will give his teammates an earful. I really like this kid and I think he is going to develop into a nationally recognizable name.
  12. FSU just had better athletes.... Fair and square. :isurrender:
  13. No what you said was FSU is going to win because they are athletically superior, which is just not true. Then you proceeded to change/twist/misinterpret other posts to make yours seem true. I'm with Bench I have no idea what math you're doing.. We'll see how FSU does, I mean ND is the best team they will have played to date.
  14. Choose whichever site you want for recruiting info. But, by your definition of "consistent", ND is consistently top ten.
  15. Yeah, never mind the six wins they have earned this year, and the eerily similar schedules. (Sagarin-- FSU- 45 ND- 51). All the statements you have made seem pretty subjective. Your first statements are just not true. Since 2010, when BK was introduced as coach, and according to scout.com, ND has gone 19th, 8th, 16th, 5th, and 6th. FSU has been far from consistently "in the top 5". Going, 8-1-11-16 and most recently 3. Just highlighting the fact that the talent gap may be a bit closer than you may want to believe.
  16. He is right period. I hate how 700 is playing it off like "He is a great guy..." "Hate to see that for a guy like Nugent...". That's weak. Pac Man is right..
  17. WCS wants to win just as much as the next guy. But he is never going to be an emotional leader for this team. He seems reserved in my contact with him. Dude is a great player, and will contribute huge minutes, but he is not a MGK, Patrick Patterson, etc.. (from a leaders perspective)
  18. Better athletes? So you have analyzed both rosters and come to this conclusion? These ND teams BK is rolling out there are not the Weiss era teams everyone is used to. Just saying guys like Jaylon Smith, Will Fuller, Golson... The list goes on.
