  1. I don't know of anyone who said that Ryle could play with the big boys of Louisville. Actually in prediction thread I believe I said SC would win this game.
  2. Top 1000? Really? Lol so how much better is #789 than 983? Lol
  3. Rooting for Ryle but think SC takes this one.
  4. Scott Co beating Conner surely wasn't an upset.
  5. I will be there. My favorite games every year are Cooper vs Ryle and Cooper vs Conner and the fact that this will be the 3rd time this year I get to watch one of those matchups, well I wouldn't miss it for anything. Good Luck to both teams! Go Jags!!!!!!
  6. Now that would be pretty cool. A lot of teams did that in 2012 for Cooper all the way to the title game. Was pretty special.
  7. Actually I can tell simply by the number of likes I have gotten on the posts in this thread stating your comment is wrong tells me just who they think is correct on the subject. Now about where I grew up and went to school etc. Well I went to Beechwood and I would think they have a pretty nice winning tradition of their own.
  8. Or his teammate Max Halpin who is doing pretty darn good also.
  9. Mitchell Hollifield the kicker for Cooper finished 1st in the ProKickers invite only camp where they take the top 100 kickers in the country. Not bad. He finished 1st in FG's with 100% made in the camp as well as averaged 44.6 yds or something like that a punt.
  10. To put it shortly...yes. The players on both teams have the same pressure. Any athlete at any college at any level feels pressure for many many reasons and one is to be able to keep his job through competition etc. so yes they all feel the pressure. The example you give kind of goes against your argument. Do you really think the UK player is really concerned about that game as much as the Morehead player who would make more of a name for himself if he was able to beat UK? Yes all the players have pressure and none is more than another. Like I said, the coach is the one under the pressure you talk about. Players have the same. Now, please stop with the ridiculous idea that HHS players have more pressure on them than anyone else in NKY. It's stupid plain and simple. Also, if in your mind they truly do then you have no one to blame but yourself for putting that pressure on them. What it sounds like is your expectations are so high that you are telling the kids they are losers if they don't win it all.
  11. I was giving you an example of how easy it is to look somewhere else where pressure could easily be more than any HHS player could ever have this year. Let me ask you this. How could a HHS player have more pressure than any other NKY player had this year? Serious question. What pressure? It wasn't like they won the last several Tate Titles and felt they had to keep the streak on. They actually only have 1 title in the last 4 years including this season. Why would that mean they have more pressure? That's my point. Just because you say so doesn't make it so. The answer to your question about Basketball is the same for every player period. The pressure at those schools you mentioned "UK Duke etc" isn't on the players. The pressure you speak about is in their AD's and coaches. The players can just play. No player is going to play harder if he goes to UK than if he played at NKU.
  12. When you said HHS players have more pressure on them than any other NKY player Now your adding that no other programs have pressure to win like HHS does. Keep digging the hole deeper. I will I'll give you just one of many examples of a team and it's players that I feel had more pressure on them to win this year than HHS players and that is Cov Cath players to get that monkey off their backs and finally beat HHS.
  13. Just quit already. You sound silly. All these kids are the same. They all want to win period. If you are born in Ft Thomas you aren't born with a gene that makes you any more special or makes you want to win anymore than anyone else or makes it hurt any more when you lose. Just stop already with the arrogance. It's silly to actually believe what you're saying. All these years you've put down all the other programs in the area saying garbage like "no o e works as hard" or "no one prepares as much" or "no one trains as hard" or "no one prepares as much" blah blah blah and it's gotten old. I have a secret for you, the HHS players have no more pressure than any other kid has to want to win period. Maybe it's people like you that put that so called pressure on the kids and if that is true then shame on you. You try try and tell my son who lost in a state title game that it's alright and his anger and disappointment wasn't even close to what a HHS player feels when he loses. Such garbage. All these boys and especially seniors can't put anymore pressure on them to win in their last ever season than anyone else at any other school. What you make it sound like is a bunch of spoiled rotten kids who expect things to be handed to them and if it doesn't happen then woe is them for not getting the ring at the end of the fight.
  14. You just proved my point my friend. Smh
  15. Congrats to all the seniors for continuing to play through the last 2 seasons and not giving up. Best of luck to you all in the future. But RCC9 lets not be so over dramatic. Posts like this are exactly what rubs some people the wrong way. You tend to make it sound as if no other HS Football players in the area try as hard or hurt as much when they lose. I hope you didn't mean to come across that way but it was a very arrogant thing to say. They had no more pressure on them than anyone else who straps it up every Friday night. It's a game. That's all. Just a game.
  16. Yes He is 4th ranked Center in College Football right now and would love the Bengals to get him. It would be great, me and his dad were best friends growing up and would love nothing better than to see his kid make it to the NFL!!
  17. It also wasn't 40 degrees. I think people are misunderstanding and and over exaggerating what the field conditions were for the Cooper game. The field wasn't muddy, it was slick period and a lot of that had to do with being wet and cold. Conners field would have been just as slick if the freshman game was being played last night also. I didn't see puddles of water, I did t see mud flying, I didn't see players falling in mud and getting up covered in mud or soaking wet last night. Shoot you could still read every players number on their uniforms at the end of the game. You don't see that if they played on a soaking wet and muddy field. Anyone who has ever played in the rain on a grass field knows you can't even read the jersey numbers after 1 qtr. that wasn't the issue last night at all. The issue was because the grass was damp and it was cold, the field became very slick and hard to get traction on. If the field was just dirt as I've read someone in here try to say it was, it would have been better because dirt isn't slick. Wet grass on the other hand is and that is what we had last night.
  18. No. Jackson last year against Conner had over 300 yds rushing against them in their 2 games. This year he has almost 1000 yards rushing. I wouldn't call that always struggling. Last night was the worst offensive night for the Jags all year. It happens to the best of them.
  19. It's a grass field just like many other firlds that used to be grass. Growing up and playing many sports there was only 1 grass field in the entire area that was worth playing on and that was Beechwoods when it was grass. It was easily the best field in all of NKY. There were some horrendous fields that Coopers and Conners would be considered Beechwood like compared too. Dixie used to have the absolute worst field ever. There were rocks etc on that field than grass it seemed. Yes Cooper and Conner and Boone's fields are not the best but has it become so wimpified anymore that we can't hold football games on anything less than NFL standard type fields? Yes I'd rather have field turf but I'm not losing sleep over the fact we have grass fields.
  20. I did want to give a shout out to Dante Hendrix also. Last night was kind of special for me and my son. My sons college team had a bye this weekend so he was able to come home and watch the game last night. He wanted to be there for Dante as Dante going into the game was only 2 receptions short of breaking the schools single season receptions record that was held by my son. So we got to watch from the sidelines together as Dante got the new record. Couldn't think of a better person than Dante to break that record!! My son is a huge fan of Dante as he got to play for years with Dante's brother Aaron Morgan. Great kid and great accomplishment for a great player that will only continue to get better at the next level!! Way to go Dante!!!!!! Congrats!!
  21. I don't know, that info is above me, I'm just a fan. I do know there was no money for a lot of things when the school opened. One of my daughters went there the year they opened and was a Cheerleader and they didn't even have mats to practice on due to no money. So when you don't have the money then you have to make due with what you have I guess. Now I will say Cooper does get more than a bad rap for their field when there are 2 other BC schools with pretty bad fields also. Conners is just as bad and Boone's isn't Much better and they've been around a whole lot longer than Cooper and has had plenty of time to upgrade. We had tornados and severe thunderstorms just days leading up to last nights game. If it were played on any of the other 2 grass fields in BC it would have been the same.
  22. It's always been in bad shape. There was no time the field was good.
  23. They actually are doing a couple projects to raise money for improvements etc and I believe a new field is one of them.
  24. Not only cooper players but also half the Conner players also stopped and stood straight up and looked back at the official. The qb even stopped and then took off running. I don't know what the play call was but I doubt it was qb keeper but because of the whistle and everyone else stopping it then became a qb keeper because no one else was playing.
