Doesn't matter if it was subs or starters. Running the score up is running the score up. That's the entire point. It does t become not running the score up if subs are in. The score is the score period. Maybe that is what you don't understand. So 77-0 score is not running the score up to you because subs played in the game? Oh and to answer your question, yes if starters played the entire game the score could have been even higher. Not sure what that has to do with the price of tea in China.

I can't answer for him but I can for me about national polls. I really think the only ones who cared about national polls are those who are fans of the teams on those national polls. To me I could care less about national polls because they don't mean anything. People talk about the KY polls and how horrible they are, well national polls are even worse. There is no way of even coming close to ranking teams nationally. I garuntee you ever year there are teams not in the national polls that would win against some teams that are on those polls. If if your team isn't on the national poll why would you even care who is on the poll? I can garuntee I never once in the past 50 years went out every week to see who was nationally ranked. So if he someone says they moved here from out of state and never heard of Highlands before he moved here, I'd believe him. Why should he have heard of Highlands unless he follows the national polls which I would bet the majority of high school football fans don't do. I would even go as far as to bet the majority of people on BGP if asked right now who was #1 ranked team nationally wouldn't have a clue. I don't. To tell you the truth, I never knew Highlands was ever ranked in any national poll at anytime until I became a member on here. Just something I never paid attention to since Gerry Faust days at Moeller back in the 70's.

I've always said if a team is up so much that a running clock is involved and still trying to score, it's running the score up. Again, nothing wrong with that imo. It's just what it is.

Sure, I will just give a couple the last couple years I went to because of being family friends of Bo who played in the line for HHS the last sev years before he graduated last year. First game I made it to his Jr year was Campbell county game. 2nd game that year I saw was also at the Harrison co game where I remember HHS scored more in the 2nd half than the first half alone in a rout. Now one I didn't see was the year before against Pendelton County but remember following the updates and wasn't that something like 70+ to 0? Now I didn't see that one in person so I guess we aren't allowed to call that one running the score up. Now many others I did t go to in 2013 because most of the time I was at Cooper games but Holmes I believe was a rout also. Glad no games were running the score up though, really showed a lot of class not running the score up ever. Now I answered your questions. Now answer one for me, why do you have such a problem if a team runs the score up? Just stop them period. It's a game.

I agree 110% Just like when HHS was dominating, it was a great NKY showing. That has never been an issue of mine. I love seeing us do well.

Again, I could care less if a score is run up. I have a issue when those who are fans of a team that dies it tries and claim it wasn't running it up. Also most teams when subs come in from one team the other subs out their starters also so don't act like it was always Highlands subs versus other team starters all the time. I could care less that Highlands ran the score up in the past. It was what Dale did period. No problem here at all. Just call it what it was....running the score up period. I never said I have a problem with it. I just have an issue with the fact that some of you are so pigheaded you refuse to call it what it is. Don't tell us about what "is engrained" in Highkands players etc. they aren't any more special than any player in any other team. All I was saying this entire time is call it what it is period. You can't do that so instead you are leading us to believe Dale was a moron and didn't know how to teach his players how to take a knee or to do what ever other coach in America does and know how not to run the score up. That's all I've been saying. Run un the score up, I don't care. Just when it happens to your team who has done it for years, be a man and take your lumps and don't sit here and claim your team didn't do it for years when the facts point to it happening.

So you are saying all those years when backups came in after the game was well in hand that Highkands never threw a pass and only ran dive plays? Come on!!! Like I said I could care less either way but when daddy's in here try and say scores weren't ran up I have to laugh at the ignorance. Like me I said I've seen plenty of games and have been on the sidelines when coaches tell their backups not to score and take knees and just run the same play over and over again up the middle so not to run the score up. Now if you are saying Dale didn't know how to do that then he was a moron for a coach. Just don't try and say when scores were being run up it wasn't running it up. It is what it is. So subs don't know how to take a knee? I'm not saying I have a priblem with what they did but at the same time don't get upset if people say he ran the score up because no matter who was on the field it was still running it up. You all act like subs are morons and coaching staffs are morons because they don't know how to teach victory formations and take a knee. The excuse that HHS had subs in and would still score doesn't make sense. I've seen more football games than I could count and have seen other teams with backups in purposely NOT SCORE but I guess Dale wasn't a very good coach that didn't know how to teach his players how to take a knee and use sportsmanship. I thought Dale was a good coach, guess he couldn't even teach the basics. Again, I could care less about running the score up but for the homers to say it wasn't running the score up when passes were still being thrown after being up 30 to 40 pts late in the game and still scoring, well if it smells like poop and looks like poop, it's poop so quit already with the denial, it makes you look silly.

I was just thinking about something. The seniors on this HHS team have a state championship ring from their sophomore year. If HHS doesn't win state next year (no one is touching BG this year). How long has it been since not one HHS player on their football team has a state championship ring? I guess the question is, when was the last time HHS went 4 years in a row between titles?

Yep. No one can compete with Louisville schools period. The only way you will ever get a NKY school to compete with the T's ofmthe world is if all the Boone Schools would merge, and that ain't happening.

Ryle is a contender to be the NKY champ. That's about it.

I'd think you were on to something if not for the HHS game. If SC is as good as some think, there is no way the HHS game should have been that close. I think SC may be the 4th or 5th best team in their class behind the likes of Trinity, Male, Ryle and SK.
