Our previous administration took this approach to new hires and old fires. It didn't work out real well for them. I'm only interested in the best coach getting picked, your never going to make everyone happy I get that. If the big tuna and the superintendent are going to hire who they want no matter what 90% of the hiring committee recommends, then they need to stop the committee process. Remove all transparency from the process.

Do other schools use a committee for hires like this? If the committee comes back 4 to 1 for a candidate, and the candidate is not the principal or AD's choice what should happen now? If schools are just having these committees to appease people, then why waste their time. If I'm a principal or AD I want as many people picking the best canidate as I can find. Like you said you want the best decision for the kids. If 10 people pick candidate #1, an me and the AD pick candidate #4, don't you think this looks a little odd?

Good decision, side roads are a little slippery and its still snowing. Trying to race to that 6pm game after work would have been a little scary.

So the principal and the AD are going thru a stack of applicants and conveniently pickout "their guy" along with 4 weak canidates, throwing out 7 or 8 strong candidates. After interviewing the 5 candidates, "their guy" is the best. He is hired, the cycle continues. If you want to hire your friend, the cute girl, your cousin, your college buddy then start your own business. Transparency when working for the tax payers is a good practice to follow. If you can't operate in the open you need to get out of education.

It has been snowing here for about 2 hours, if the temperatures will rise a few degrees we should be ok. If not, this could be a mess.

Note to Franz and Letcher, You work for me and the rest of the tax payers in Montgomery co. Transparency is the best way when working for the tax payer. If Sizemore is the best canidate then he should be hired, if he's not then we are right back to the good ole boy days at Montgomery co schools.

After the 31 point loss to moco , if PC beats moco that will be a huge upset. One team is lead by a freshman the other is senior dominated, a moco loss would be a massive upset.

An extreme advantage.

To my paris fan friends: Paris is clearly better than moco. They have beaten them 3 times. Home, away and neutral floor. If you don't think thats the better team, your a serious homer. Paris and Campbell are really tough matchups for moco. It's hard to beat a team 3 times, I picked moco because a 4th loss to Paris would be extremely hard to pull off by paris.

Hell's a little strong for mt sterling, but if works for you, that's cool. I to loved all the games at BOK, obviously a longer drive, but great seats and a college feel that I think all the kids would remember the rest of their lives. Plus a neutral floor to boot. I'm all for having it there every year.

Based on the draw and the home court advantage I'm picking Moco over Paris by 12 in the finals.

"The gym is to small" I've been to every moco hosted region since the new gym was built and I've never seen the gym near capacity. I to look forward to watching games at the new GRC facility. It should be a fantastic facility if everything is done that is being planned.

If moco is able to play m2m 95% of the game, they will win easily. There's no way they can contain dribble penetration from all 5 paris kids. This game is only about bragging rights, the draw Saturday morning is more important than this game. Moco and Paris are two of the teams that can win the region. I wouldn't be suprised to see both these teams in the finals.

To better prove your point, pull the same stats against other local teams and out of region. Is the Augusta games simply an outlier or is it the norm when teams play mason. Of course all teams are not built the same. Augusta is an has been small, thus a lot more dribbling and attacking. Hard to compare, but I love antylitics in the morning.

Great hs basketball game. I'm honestly not sure at the drawing this morning who you want out of this district. This could have been a huge wakeup call for mason.

If Morgan could have gotten an easier first round game (and won) I thought they had a chance to make a run at morehead. However, it would have been extremely hard to win three games in a row with 2 guys taking 84% of the shots, that is a crazy stat.

Does Paintsville have anything coming up?
