  1. How do you know GP is a "man." Could be a very demanding Mother........
  2. In comparing the teams to CCH to see if they are "down", don't you have to ask yourself first where CCH lies? I would remove FC from the conversation due to the draw, and their coach kind of said the same thing about them.....no disrespect meant to FC.....but if CCH is more talented than teams in the past top to bottom, (as someone mentioned in comparison to the 2011 Ryle team) and the other teams are giving them competition, doesn't it mean that talent is up? Perhaps what has happened is that the regions have switched in terms of top talent.
  3. So JOAT, you are upset/confused because the starting JV goalie wasn't named to one of the All Region VARSITY teams?
  4. To Fern Creek's credit......even though (as mentioned), they may not have been as talented as CCH top to bottom, they did still tried to play the possession/pass style of play, instead of converting to the run and gun style........shows me that the program is in good hands and learning and developing correctly......
  5. I think the only surprise was Fern Creek......not that they didn't deserve to be there...it is just they got the benefit of the draw. I think the real final four was the CCH/Trinity and HC/BG games.....
  6. Yep......I'm sorry, but if head to head doesn't have a larger factor in the rankings then there is a flaw. CCH beats Trinity on a neutral pitch, and quite frankly, it wasn't as close as the 2-1 score, if you consider shots on goal, possession, and the fact that it was 2-0 until 5 minutes left in the game..... The biggest factor of which team is better is which one wins when they go head to head.
  7. Saturday at 5 pm at Dunbar. Congrats to both teams for a great run........ Go Colonels....bring it home.
  8. And any team can beat any team on any given Wednesday......
  9. I don't do predictions...... But in looking at the stats.....the one that jumps out at me is that FC is one spot above CCH in the goal differential category......FC has a 3.6 and CCH has a 3.3 differential. FC has a OAS (opponent average strength) of 0.85 and CCH has an OAS of 6.28 according to the Maher rating.
  10. KHSAA.tv | The Home for Webstreaming of KHSAA Events Understand they are charging $9.99 for the pleasure of the service.......a penny less than the entrance fee.......but in watching, you can come and go as you please without having to play the entrance fee again.
  11. Thursday Nov 5, 8 pm @ Dunbar...... I'm going with Catholic in this one.
  12. Thursday Nov 5th at 6 pm @ Dunbar What do you think about this one?
  13. I hope it is that kind of game......It is supposed to be at this level.....
  14. OK......quoting yourself is silly but wanted to refresh VOR..... VOR, here is your quote "My first post on the topic was a response to whining about lack of media coverage because it wasn't football." So tell me who and when and where football was even mentioned......except in your mentality......my comment was that there isn't media coverage in NKY for soccer. A round burnt orange ball isn't a football.......right? And the only reason I mentioned BBall was it is also round and full of air, unlike a baseball or softball.. And it was an awesome game........ but to compare it to CCHS / HHS frosh football game's attendance you would need to move the game 1.5 hours away and see who shows up .......this soccer game was played in Lexington and one team was from Louisville and one was from Park Hills and they had over 1400 in attendance (reported by KHSAA)
  15. VOR......you also would have to comPare the 700 plus at Montgomery County va CCH game to a football game 1 hour and 45 minutes away from NKY. HHS vs Campbell doesn't count because both are local..... .....How many fans does a HHS and Bell County freshman game have? .....lastly, if you still refer to soccer as the "junior" sport, you are actually showing your age a little . It isn't the same as it was in the 80's when i played.......it has more players locally and worldwide than any other....
  16. Never going to give up the costs........ New topic.......heck, they didn't even allow you to go out and get a blanket or umbrella without have to pay $10 again......talk amongst yourselves about this...
  17. The "half" supporter from our family always starts trouble. VOR....welcome to the soccer site... You are always welcome, but we do check facts ...unless it is the HHS girls threads....then sit back, open a beer, grab some popcorn and hang on ......
  18. There are more players and therefore parents on the Frosh football teams .......on the CCH side of the stands last night I would anticipate over 200 + with fans, students....add about the same amount on the Trinity side.....then throw in those fans in the end zone. ....someone help me verify but I would guess 500+ Easy for one of the 8 games that occurred yesterday with boys and girls ....
  19. To the CCH players that are reading this......Fern Creek is better than Trinity and need 100% of your focus, energy and effort to defeat them..... Approach his game as if it can be your last.
  20. Pp Too bad we can't get multiple likes......this one would have received all of mine
  21. Thanks for writing it NB.......probably won't get any press up here in NKY because the ball is round, filled with air, and isn't burnt orange and bounced around.....
