What's the difference between All Coaches and All State?

The one I posted is northern Kentucky only. There are then a an all-state tournament team made up of players from the teams playing in state tourney. Last is the coaches All-State based on the voting of all members of then Ky boys soccer association. There are two teams consisting of an East and a West team. First, second, third and honorable mention squads. This aren't announced until after state finals and as YC stated the next few days.

Cooper's Adam Snow is the only Junior on the first team. Excellent! :thumb:

Thank you for the info.

Where are all of the NCC players on the boys side?

I hope they are at home... it is a school night. :sssh:

So lets get back to the question at hand. Only 1 NCC player makes any of the 3 teams. Where is Lyles or Randle? How about Grosser?

Does this still work the same way that you have to be nominated by your coach?

Why does Northern Kentucky have an all star team?

Clearly a refection of the team's season.

As examples, 50% of the boys first team are from CCH (regional champ) and Ryle (regional finalist) and Cooper (regional semi finalist). Take NCC girls team as another example, they have a good season and they get OPOY, DPOY, Coach of the Year. My guess (based on final vote) is the coaches came to the conclusion NCC's lack of good competition combined with their results only warrant one of their players being voted to one of these teams.

Why would they not? Even though the teams are spread across 3 regions, it is an area that has over 150,000 people and very much considers itself a market. Why wouldn't they?

Clearly a refection of the team's season.

I agree with what you are saying about how the teams finish being reflected in the votes, even though the voting was done before Regionals, the better teams will receive more consideration.... IMO.

Another thing to look at is their class, I think about 75% of the boys that were chosen were seniors. I am not sure what class the 3 boys mentioned from NCC are in but this also seems to play into the selections.
