  1. I would say that Dixie's concessions noses out Ryle's by a slight margin.
  2. Just heard. CCH up 6-0 at half. Bench emptied.
  3. Help a brother out.....couldn't go, had to finish some work so I wouldn't be late to deer camp tomorrow.
  4. As long as the person has the ball AND is on the other team.....he is tackling the right person Cake. I'll let Guru or another Moderator explain "penetration." I like keeping my access.
  5. Never on Sunday.......you "heathen" .... YC, you more than anyone needs the prayers of forgiveness for the prior weeks transgressions..... For your comments to the ref's alone, would make one's knees hurt for penance required for forgiveness..... :jump:
  6. Missed the games last night. Where did they play at Beechwood?
  7. Thanks.......Congrats and best of the luck to him.....Unless, of course, Studying "abroad" actually means what Clinton/Trump are in hot water for.
  8. I read in one post where the Holmes starting goalie didn't play. Is he back? Are both teams at full strength?
  9. Tigers or Bulldogs make Regionals.......at the beginning of the year, do you take that bet?
  10. Unless the GK's name is Froschaur (sp?)
  11. More importantly......no mention of how ASnow took it down the sideline, to the end line, played a perfect bangoo pass and when it wasn't converted, he was the second touch on the ball because he kept moving at a speed greater than everyone else on the pitch. Nicely played.....earned PK.
  12. I would love to see a "should of scored" stat. A player with a high goal total and low "should of" stat means they are making the most of their opportunities. A high " should of " stat means that perhaps they are looking for stats instead of team goals........just sayin'
  13. OK....I agree with Both and Sir. Both good points.
  14. I understand this, but unlike the Freshman regional, this isn't a "class" tournament so, IMHO, if the smaller schools have numbers issues and pull others up to play substantial V minutes, then they don't qualify to enter the JV T.....
  15. Call off the dogs and take the picture off the milk carton......GP has been found
  16. Not sure if #5 is the same player from last year, but that is the same definition of the matches last year.......... not going to do it on here, but the "d" word is appropriate to use from last year.
  17. OK....Have scanned most replies but if this has already been said, please excuse. I've said this in another section as well.......If a Ref is in the correct position and makes/doesn't make a call, then he/she has the best vantage point and I'll always respect their call..... ......However, my issue is with the ref that isn't in the right position (usually due to effort/stamina) Very easy to see on the soccer pitch, but also evident on the grid iron........have seen some refs that can't lean over and place the ball.
  18. So should we start the "Varsity Watch" for this tournament? Who is enforcing the new rules? Unlike the Frosh tourny, it is harder to enforce.........
  19. Hope he didn't have any tests today.
  20. Warbeagle took the words out of my mouth. Like other sports, College Showcase is a better use of the Coaches travel budget..... .......with that said, local coaches do travel and show up. Someone mentioned TMC Coach. He was at a lot of the CCH games last year. Same with Cincy Christian and a few others.
