A lot of items that make this one tough to call. The first meeting, Cooper was on a great run of wins. They were rolling through everyone! They have seemed to cool a little. (still a very good team) Also, HHS said they played awful in that game. I wasn't there, so I'm going off of trusted hearsay. But this time around, HHS is going in a little banged up. They have some depth, but that depth will have to perform tonight on the big stage. Cooper is scary because Held has the ability to take over the game and doesn't seem to crack. However, will that be the same for her on the big stage in her first regional game. (My guess is it won't be a problem, but you never know how kids will react). But she is good enough to put Cooper on her shoulders and carry them for a couple games. She also has a good supporting cast. HHS has been up and down this year. They have the potential to beat anyone on a given night and then look "not so hot" the next night. I would expect they will perform tonight on the big stage (doesn't mean they will win, but I expect them to show up!) Martin and Barth have the "refuse to lose" mentality and they will be on full display tonight. I think it will be a high scoring game that comes down to who executes in the end and hits their free throws. It's a win/win for me! I would love to see the Birds win and move on. However, if they lose...I get my softball players earlier!!! LOL. Good luck to both teams!!!

Yea! I still see that damn play in my sleep!! We would yell at the girls for not seeing it coming from a mile away and you'd still score on it! Finally, one day we actually took a half hour of practice just to show them how to stop one inbounds play from one team that we played. Had to use the time or we would never stop it! Just could never understand why they couldn't figure it out!!!!

I agree with you. Occasionally I could see it. But game on the line, I'm doing everything to get the ball in her hands. Kinda playing to the defense with not having to guard her until she steps in bounds. I know exactly where she is and I sure am going to deny her when she comes across in late in the game. Yes, I could do that on an inbounds she was going to receive, but they could also run her thru 100!picks to get her open.

Well I'm not gonna lie...two of my favorite kids in the region. I would adopt either kid in a heartbeat! (But then I'd send them to HHS!) Hate seeing that! Hopefully Jordan can get back for region.

Congrats to Conner! That's a tough first round district game to have to play. Ryle with a great year and over achieved many people's expectations. Not mine, I was a fan from day one! LOL

Thats should be changed. If rules are the same across the state and you're playing an in-state team, both teams should be able to evaluate the officials regardless of region.

Was the game plan for SK to get physical with Stinson? Not that it is a reason to throw a punch, but I'm just curious.

There are some that get a lot of hype and some that don't. Has to do with a lot of things. How many girls bball fans are in here from each school, what AAU org they play with, where they play etc. But Lexi is well known in the girls bball world. But you may be right that someone outside of the circle may not hear about her as much as others. But she is darn good and you can't hide her long. People will talk and she's had a great year.

Exactly! Not tell players to hurt someone! Pull them and file a complaint and never schedule them again. I've pulled my team off the court and field. Again, NEVER tell a kid to hurt another kid.

I wouldn't place her as underrated. Anyone that knows anything about girls bball in NKY knows who Lexi is. And I'd say every coach plans their scheme around her on offense and defense.

I agree she may be the best player up here...not just the 9th. Have always loved her game!

I teach my kids to protect themselves and push back where needed, but I would NEVER teach them to hurt someone...regardless how bad it got. No room for that anywhere in sports...EVER! Pull them off the floor if you're going to result to that. Makes you and the entire program no better than the one that did it. Life lessons is to be the bigger and better person. Don't let outside influences that you can't control influence you. Maintain self control.

Was the perceived home cooking because they didn't throw her out or were their other home cooked calls as well.
