  1. I think SK is the best team up here. So it would surprise me if the Birds pull off the win. But I love surprises!!!
  2. Well if SK doesn't take advantage of Meier in this game, the loss would be their own fault. HHS still down one of only a few of their post players. And when I say "post", I don't mean tall!!
  3. So you're in agreement then!?!?...as long as the Bulldogs take care of business!
  4. I love McNutt and Schwarber. Sure would have liked to see them on the first team. I like the kids that are the All-around work horse. These awards tend to go to scorers though.
  5. It was just a joke. The more good teams I can get eliminated from the region, the better for my Birds! So I think whoever loses this one should just be eliminated from post season play! It's close enough! We all agree right!
  6. Mine is already in!!! Sent it a long time ago!!
  7. Have a seat and get comfortable. Can I get you a drink?
  8. Awesome! I have an idea. Let's just go ahead and eliminate the loser from the region tournament! I think that's a great idea!!
  9. You could be right. May need that to "refocus"!
  10. Honest question...SK starting to show a little kink in the armor? Mid season blahs? Just didn't think this would be that close. Is this a closer than a 10 point win or a larger than a 10 point win. 10 points can be tricky to judge without seeing the game.
  11. That stinks, but really no shame. Mercer is very good!
  12. Cooper has to make sure they get out of district first. That's not a knock on them, but by no means is that a given.
  13. What are you taking about? First, what am I denying? Second, he's talking about the jr football league (which a lot of kids play in that don't ever come to HHS). Third, who said anything about comparing acedemics or kids making it or not from any other school?? And fourth, "so many kids"??? We've told you what the avg percentage of kids playing football are from out of city kids. Are you now saying that every family that moves to Ft Thomas that happens to have a kid on the football team did so because of football??? I sure hope that's not where you're going. Because I can name you three times the families that moved there and have never had a kid on the team!
  14. The schools are busting at the seams and kids are on waiting lists to get in. And that's with some expansion that has already occurred and continues. And there were tuition kids and move in kids on these last couple teams. Just not as impactful as some have been in the past. I do agree that with the improving programs, the talent is staying a little more spread out these days. But acedemics play a part in family decisions as well and people want the best for their kids. Mine don't play football and I will have 4 that I'm paying tuition for to go to HHS. People make those same sacrifices everyday to send their kids to private schools.
  15. My guess is it should be a great game. Holmes' pressure hasn't historically given HHS too much issue. But HHS has to keep them off the boards and that's no easy task. HHS tends to be able to defend Holmes well too, so if they rebound, I expect it to be a great game. Holmes isn't as deep as in the past and foul trouble could play a role. But as much as I'd love to win, I'd rather see the game play out with all the stars at this point in the season. Like to see where both stand without outside influence.
