Well that still doesn't sound like most! And you don't think the hhs kids did anything to be in position to get those deflections and steals?? You're saying the MC kids hardly ever turn the ball over and they just decided tonight to throw it to the hhs kids? Interesting! We must have watched a different game. Btw, did HHS have any unforced turnovers? Just funny how you try to make it look like MC played bad and HHS didn't really have anything to do with it. Both teams had unforced turnover, but no way were "most" of the MC turnovers unforced. Again, define "most" for me. You've named maybe 3-5 out of 20 so far. I love this MC team. Very fun to watch. But they got beat tonight in a very fun game to watch where both teams played their heart out.

I don't think you can have this discussion without including Baioni (HHS) in the 9th.

If you're talking about the Scott incident, that was much more involved than just a parent overhearing a cuss word from the locker room. That coach is a very good friend of mine and I don't agree with his dismissal one bit and think they made a big mistake, but it wasn't just because a parent overheard a comment. Much more to it than that. Again, don't agree with what happened at all!

In my opinion, record should have no bearing on a decision of a school to keep or release a coach if they feel there was something that warrants a dismissal. That decision should be based ONLY on the facts of the issue.

So can someone fill us in on "the rest of the story"?

HHS has been winning, but not playing their best lately. If HHS fights and plays to their potential, it should be a good one. If they play like it's just another mid season game, MC will get them pretty good.

Agree big zig, anyone that knew anything about Conner knew they would have some down nights because of youth. It happens and I'm sure those young girls learn every time they take the floor. Regarding the 3 ball, it's really no surprise when you play Conner, you are going to see the 3 ball flying. Yes, sometimes it gets you a win and sometimes you can shoot your way out of a win. But at the end of the day, that's been their style for awhile now. I do think with this group, they could look to identify when young kids are having an off night and maybe go to a different style, but that's not our call. They have kids that can get to the basket. But again, it's all about gaining experience. One thing that I think this team is missing is Taylor Gambrel. That's not a knock on this team, it's just that experience of controlling and finishing games that I think is one of their challenges until they gain that experience. Also, we are getting to the meat of the season. Several of these kids that are being relied on the perform every night are young and not fully developed yet. I said at the beginning was one thing to watch with this group would be how the season wears on them. Was their body and mind ready to perform up to the rigors of a varsity schedule? Banging with kids that are usually bigger with you and the mental exhaustion of "now being the go to player", can have an affect on the younger kids. It's nothing they can't overcome, but in the middle of a long season can become tiresome. When championship play begins, kids can turn on a new motor. But the middle of the season can be monotonous.

If Scott has resolved their issue with taking care of the ball, it should be a good game. If not, Conner could win by a pretty decent margin.
