Yesterday in the NewCath Black Box Theater seniors Haley Meyers and Kathryn Schreiber both signed Letters of Intent to play at Cincinnati Christian University.

 

Haley Meyers

 

Over the past two seasons Haley has led the NewCath team in hitting, both seasons she has hit at least .430. In the circle she has a career record of 54-37, with 21 shutouts, 14 No-Hitters, and 3 Prefect games. She has 563 career strikeouts, and led all NKY last year with 201.

 

She is on pace to become the career leader in Appearances, Wins, & Shutouts. Offensively she is on pace to become the career leader in Hits, RBI’s, At Bats, Games Played, & Batting Average.

 

She has been selected Co-Player of The Year and twice Runner-Up Player of The Year in Division II by the Northern Kentucky Softball Coaches Association. As a sophomore she was selected 2nd Team All-State, and has been selected twice to the Enquirer All-Star Team.

 

Kathryn Schreiber

 

Kat emerged as one of the top defensive center-fielders in NKY last season. For her diminutive size, she can track down anything in the outfield, and also possess one of the strongest arms among all NKY outfielders. Her 31 Putouts last season were 3rd most by a NewCath outfielder, and she even played one game at Shortstop last year and had 3 putouts and 6 assist without an error.

 

Last season was a breakout year at the plate, as she was 2nd on the team with 40 hits, led the team in runs scored with 25, and hit .345. She was named to the Northern Kentucky Softball Coaches Association Division II 1st Team last year.

 

 

Congratulations ladies. Your just desserts after putting in a ton of time and hard work. It shows. Again, congratulations. And good luck with life goals you choose.
