Interesting, so are you saying if Conner does not win the district and goes far into the playoffs as a 2 or 3 seed would those wins be considered the other teams laying egg's or could it be that in this scenario the lower seed on that given evening was better? I suggest you all sit back and let the kids figure this one out on the field , best of luck to both clubs. Should be a great game and no matter who wins competing makes all the young men winners to me! Just my 2 cents.

In my opinion the HYPE shows in wins and loses!

New to the area (2 years) of watching girls HS BB and I think think Norte Dame is above all (by a landslide), then Highlands, NC, Conner, Ryle, Holmes, Beechwood, St Henry and HC and I believe Boone will have a down year but they do have the biggest (X Factor) Nell. I also believe Conner needs to live up to the hype and Cooper does have some talent but those girls need to believe in themselves and could possibly be better than even they expected.

Very solid player, hope she likes cold snowy winters. Best of luck to her in the future. Everyone I talk to say NKY girls BB is down but if I am correct to date two girls have verbals to D 1 and two others D 2, pretty solid can't wait for the season to begin.

Please, this kid threw the ball like a dart and Fogle was a man among boys, the speed you spoke of from HC was no match for Conner. I also thought the hype might be a little much but what I saw tonight was a composed young man (Barker) that could do what ever he wanted when ever he chose. Why did you not post on the thread?

I hear Coach Stamm does an excellent job promoting his players. I have been told that there is another senior on the team getting D-3 looks but not sure of her name?

I have only seen her play a couple of times and I think she is real good and certainly not saying she is not a team player. My reply was to the comment with her and their coach they go far, it will take her playing like she is capable, the coach and four other players. That's all I was saying! That will be an amazing feat being it takes 5 players to play on a TEAM!

I agree but I think ND has so much young talent coming up to varisty with the other three metioned I think they are the favorite.

Here is what I think will be preseason top 10: ND, Highlands, Conner, NC, Holmes, Ryle, Beechwood, St Henry, Boone and ????? I think overall the Ninth is down this year but should be very competitive. Hopefully we see some teams from like Beechwood, Holmes or Conner make some noise over the traditional power houses. I predict Boone has a down year, Conner is my sleeper pick for the region, not sure if they win it but I think they will have a good year and finally get back to the regional tournament.

I believe the rules allow a player to play under those circumstances, I just think the rules should be followed by all. If the parent moved then they should be able to play ,

Just my opinion but I think a player should have sit out no matter what the circumstances may be. Making the right decision in the best interest of a child is always the right thing to do but that should come with all of the responsibilities in making that decision. I understand that there seems to have been some disagreements between coaches and player/parents but it should not come at the expense of all the other kids at every other school who in some instances does not chose to leave the school dispite the challenges. I wish this young lady the best of luck in the future but in my opinion she should not be allowed to compete for one year based on the rules. That of course is based on this thread stating she is leaving Ryle. It does seem to me that Ryle continues to lose players, if Iam not mistaken this will be 4 out of 5 years a player or players chose to leave this program??????

Coper winning the district???? Not sure on that but will follow and see how your prediction will turn out. I watched the Conner team a couple times over the summer and to me out of the gate they are the favorite. They look to have a pretty good nucleus and some senior leadership. I think it will be Conner and Ryle out of the distict, not predicting who wins it. I know you cant rule Boone out with Nell but unless they have some strong players coming into the program I think they may have a difficult time performing up to Nell's normal standards. I agree with the other reply stating the Smith girl will be strong, her with Johnson, Oliverio and some of the young talent Ryle always has I think they may end up the best in the distrcit. cant wait till the ball gets tossed and these girls start to play!

Do you know who they play? I thought they played sloppy well against McCualey, PG did some nice things running that team, it looks like Conner will not be as athletic at the point but seems to have a player #4 that knows how to run a team. They also have a very good combination at the 2 and 3, great shooters and two very aggressive big's. This team can be very good and I think The Scott girl can be one of the top 3 players in the region. They also have I believe two freshman that are very good as well! Conner is an up and coming girls program in my opinion.

Lost by 3 to Mason, won a Christmas Tourny in Detroit. I assume you have been around the game a long time and know any team to win 19 games has to have some luck and are pretty good. The team I watched this week was again very athletic and may have been one of the Top three teams at this camp. I also agree you can't read into summer basketball but for the sake of this discussion, Winthrow beat Conner and then Conner beats McCauley by 10. Some food for thought!

Not sure how you could speak for the upcoming year? From what I saw Winthrow was very athletic but did lack some skill. Glen Estes shot lights out and if they play and shoot like the did the other night if they are not one of the top teams then they may make some noise this year. Win throw last year finished 9th in the final Enquirer poll and had a record of 19/4.

Agreed, with her Highlands is one of top teams in region 9 next season. Winthrow looked very athletic and beat Conner, Glen Estes shot the ball very well and beat Ryle. Conner looked pretty good overall, good inside out game and a couple physical big's, they also can shoot the three. Ryle looked young and I believe they did not have all their players, Highlands look solid but need to hit the three's, Gallatin County look pretty good. Villa played hard as well as Bellvue.

Had an opportunity to see some games TMC today, Most of the games seemed very competitive. Look forward to next season. Schafer went down with an ankle injury, anyone know how she is doing?

as you STATE good experience and think of it from a accomplishment persepctive, 5 or 6 different teams with say 7 to 8 players contributing on each the odd's are certainly increased to have postitive impact on a young persons life. I must agree with Willyp why for the purity of the "Holy" champion would the KSHAA or anyone else for that matter not want more young people getting to enjoy as you put a "good experience". Please understand I truly repsect your post and sory we differ on this one!
