Just loking for some insight from other BGP. All good .My insight is it will be tighter than last contest with Dixie pulling out the win. It will be nice to see Hatton get 3000 pts. Also to watch Holmes/HH play.

Hawthorne was a beast blocking shots for Cooper with Hedgers grabbing rebounds and Schreck scoring inside. Rabe and Hatton nice outside looks and Bollin blocking shots inside with the minutes he had. Niehaus played quality minutes should see more down stretch. Cooper was very physical with Hawthorne fouled out and another player not sure name at moment but not much inside game. McNeil's boys good players but they need to shoot more for them to go any farther, looks to me that Cooper are not playing team ball but rather it is my turn to shoot without looking at the bigger picture. Only 2nd time to watch them but a different team than I saw earlier in the year.Still a team to right the ship and with that defense could surprise a some team come tourney time.

JW24 has it right. "I think that Dixie Heights would beat some of the teams on this list despite having what many describe as an off-night against Cov Cath." They had to sit around from 1:30pm for bus ride till game time so the team could play on bad weather . Not an excuse but a lot of down time over normal routine. CCH game only.

Paper has Mighty Moeller at #2 in Ohio. CCH will be hard pressed to play that game after a NKU game with Dixie Heights night before. It will only make them more tourney ready next weekend and beyond.

Thanks for updates . GRC must of played good control offense with defense to match to have such a low scoring game till the end.

Sounds like GRC defense has picked it up. Hatton bottled up?

Not much offensively but disruptive in the paint . Not enough time on court too see what could be.

And your opinion is worth .... I know some of the parents .

Every year you hear kids want to quit ,or going to another school because of "this" or coach has to go! Get over it ! That "parent " is not at every practice or know what these or those kids are doing in practice. Don't assume that is why bad playing is going on. There is always this going on and it never is true. You are talking about a coach and coaches who have won at this level and will continue to do so.Whatever is going on will pass and will only make this team stronger in the end.

Niehaus is starting to be more aggressive rebounding and put backs in the paint and not relying on his jumper , also for the first time I have seen the Coach had Bolin and Hedger in at the same time this year which Newport had nothing to match up. This could put alot a pressure on a team with the bench to give up fouls and they have and Hatton, Schreck and Moore contributing from the outside slashing to the basket ,creating easy assists for biggs into easy layups. Definitely going to be a game to watch on Wed. against Holmes at Dixie.

Regarding officials. When you are home you will typically get more calls go your way. When you are perceived as having the better team (especially if you are highly thought of) you will get more calls go your way. When you are playing a team from another region, the team who is the home team will typically have a big edge because the home team coach rates those officials, not the visiting coach. Officials are human and they react much as any of us do - to whatever feels right to them and it can very well be totally unintentional or subconscious. Great officials are better able to overcome such biases, but there are about as many great officials as there are great coaches (draw your own conclusion-) This should be a thread on it's own!

Went by TurkeyFoot school and who ever tried to do parking lot or is responsible to clear lot should be fired . With any amount of salt would of cleared that yesterday with the sun out. Should of been cleared by now. Sounds like a inside job!

You have Brossart 18th but Dixie Heights unranked but they have lost to NCC by 30 1st game of year ,beating Holmes till final 3:00min.in 4th game of year, beat Henderson, Male twice and lost to Knott Central by 2 and not ranked .Who has BB or others below them or above have over DH .I believe this team is being overlooked by everyone and could see a change in rankings if they beat Lafayette tomorrow.Which will bring 5 teams from 9th region!

Don't know much about Lafayette except ranking and Dixiie Heights who played well in tournament with a few teams in this tournament. How does this game turn out?

I have been reading these threads and I have watched a kid from the 9th region 4 times playing; Austin Schreck jr. with Brandon Hatton sr.from Dixie Heights and all I see is a slasher scorer,defensive stopper ,rebounder , point guard,forward does all the little things to help his team.This kid can play . This kid is 6'2/3 and has all the tools to be fine college player .

With Dixie heights Brandon Hatton on the verge of tying and or breaking high school scoring record in Ky. of 2865pts., should we put an astrerisk of before 3pt shot or leave it as is ?
