I must have missed that. What thread was it in? No one said Brossart wasn't a good team. I think they are a very good team.

I agree she is a very good hitter, however she was not mentioned by BGH or anyone else in the pitching thread. At least the last I looked I did't see a pitcher mentioned from Brossart. She is a very good kid and nice player, and works very hard at it.

I am thinking ND and Highlands in the finals. They are the best two teams in the regional tournament this year, IMO. Interesting that three of the top six or seven teams from the final regular season poll didn't make the tournament, Conner, NewCath & Holy Cross. Should still be a good tournament, but would be more exciting if at least 2 of these 3 were in. JMO?

CovCath got exactly what they wished for. Bottom half is brutal, top 3 out of 4 teams in the 9th region. Should be a great tournament.

I don't think anyone was mentioned at 2B, 3B, or pitcher for Brossart in any of those threads. Kind of surprised by that myself. However, they do have two very good outfielders, an excellent SS and a great first baseman. I will agree with that.

Where is BGH? No where to be found. I was hoping for one of his reports on this one. :idunno:

Congratulations to all the girls on this list. A special congratulations to Sarah Futscher. She is very deserving. They also mention coach of the year, but did not mention player of the year. Any thoughts on POY?

I agree with your comments, completely. This is why I asked the question. Based on the district tournament compared to the regurlar season, should she be considered in the conversation for coach of the year? If not, who then should be considered at this point?

And they did that without McDonald in the line up too, didn't they? I heard he was home sick.

Winning the District as a 4 seed is a great accomplishment. Can we say Fookes coach of the year? Just asking the question.

Wow I know this is not official, but they play at 9:00 pm on Friday night and have to come back and play at 9:00 am on Saturday morning. Not a favorable draw to say the least, but that is how it goes sometimes with tournaments. Is there somewhere we can see the brackets for this tournament? BGH? Anyone?

At least for next year. They vote every year for the next year, I believe.

Do doubt, the bolded is spot on. However, I would like to add that I too think the Greis girl is an excellent first baseman. She is great defensively and a very good hitter. Definitely one of the top, if not, the best first baseman in NKY, IMO.

Completely forgot about Willett. My apologies. I would include her in with the top SS in the 9th region. The two girls mentioned from Highlands and NewCath are both young but very good. They are up and coming players to keep your eyes on.

Couldn't agree more. Butts will definitely be one of the top pitchers, for sure. My only concern here will be what kind of support she will get in the field. They graduated quite a few last year and only have three returning starters including her.

Agree. Moran, Knotts and Smith would be my top three in the 9th. Although how much SS will Knotts and Smith be playing this year. I would assume that both will be pitching the majority of games this year for their respective teams.

I will stick with Smith. I really like all the pitchers mentioned but I still think Smith is the best in the 9th. JMO

I am looking forward to them. I usually get a nice chuckle out of reading them. I am sure your team will out hit every team they play and your pitcher will have the best ERA, win or lose.

Thanks I was wondering who would play 2B for Boone if McCarthy moved to SS. That makes sense. Wow, if Clark quit I am very surprised. She was a very nice player, and a very good hitter.
