I agree, Smith will make them a solid contender for a regional title. Solid group of teams for this tournament. I would assume the team from PA will be very good.

They don't have temp fences at Softball City to put up. However, Rivershore Sports Complex in Hebron has 6 sets of temp 200' fences. If someone from this event contacts the General Manager, Bill Chard, at Rivershore. I am sure he is willing to work something out so the girls have fences.

BGH are you listening??? This would give you a place to warm up teams as well since it will create space in the outfield. You need this desperately. You have more teams now and there is no place to warm up at Softball City. Fences would make a huge difference.

The NKY Bandits held a tournament there in the summer and they had fences then.

Robbie has plenty of temporary fences there. We had 41 teams in our tournament at Softball City alone last year in one weekend and we were able to park cars and provide plenty of warm up space for the teams. Don't know the new management down at Rivershore but have never had a good experience there since around 2000 timeframe, definitely nothing with Patti running it.

Rivershore is completely different now. GM Bill Chard took over down there 2 seasons, he has the place full just about every weekend now between adult slow pitch, girls fast pitch, and youth baseball. He is the National Vice President of the World Softball League based out of Florida and has the Shore going back in the right direction. They only negative I can say is they are strict on outside food & beverages coming into the park.

Bill is a player's park manager. He does everything in the interest of the players. He has great relationships with teams and they tend to follow him wherever he manages. I think Expressway and Mid-American are the same way. But others could take notes.

We have arranged for temproary fences at 225 feet and that will allow for 75 feet between the temp fences and perm fences for warmup area.

Doesn't look good for Carroll Co. in this one. 4 starters will not be there including their only pitcher.
