  1. That is a huge discrepancy in times between the 2 40s. 0.6s. One of those two times is due to an error in timing. Given how rare a true 40 in the 4.4s is (specifically from a 15yr old kid) i'm going to think it is the 1st time that is off.
  2. Kid is super impressive. That is definitely elite level strength for his age...and honestly, any age.
  3. Anything to help with the obesity epidemic. Fine by me.
  4. Anyone have a link to where we can see these lifts? I'm not doubting it one bit, i would really just like to see a high school kid do this. Surely something like this was captured on video.
  5. Tyler Frankrone of Trinity #8
  6. And you're sorely mistaken if you don't think a strict pull-up is not a good measure of strength. Not the crossfit kipping pull-ups you're talking about...but a true strict pull-up.
  7. We could get in to a big conversation about this but that's not really what i am looking for. Going the route you chose worked and does well. In defense of the push-up though, there are many variations and regressions that can be used to become strong enough to do proper push-ups. Eccentrics, Isometric holds at various positions, incline, modified, etc. Accumulating volume through light weight work is great and very effective but people often overlook the push-up because it is simply very challenging to do correctly.
  8. Lifting at a young age is perfectly fine given that it is done properly. Ask all the countries stronger than us....Russia, China and many other European countries start training very young and they are far ahead of us in terms of strength.
  9. I understand that. Probably a smart decision.
  10. Awesome....352lb is darn impressive. Thanks for the video.
  11. Guys lets see some videos of these numbers...these are elite numbers for young kids. With instagram and facebook and phones we have now it should be pretty easy to actually document these.
  12. Who is that second person?
  13. Trinity looked tired too. City of Palms tourney, air travel and this tournament. The holidays are a grind for these kids in the holiday tournaments.
  14. If high school, college and professional coaches consult with him I'd say he is pretty good.
  15. Thanks for the updates AT. Any numbers for the Trinity guys?
  16. Thanks for the updates. Keep them coming.
  17. Can the list be copied in the thread for those that aren't members please?
  18. Maxpreps has them as the numero uno team in the country. MaxPreps Top 25 national high school boys basketball rankings - MaxPreps
  19. Do we put Derek Homer in the conversation?
