I heard about a kid that is transferring in from Northern Alaska, hauled water for the Idiatrod team at a middle school in Nome. He is moving because his Coach wanted him to lace the visiting teams water bottles with yellow snow. Anyway, he boasts the coldest clear glacier water known to man kind. Word is that his veins are Laced with ice. My understanding is he moved to Independence, but is going to go to school at Beechwood or Highlands. No one at SK knows about him yet, But the coach at Igloo HS (home of the Eskimos) is ticked off because of lack of loyalty to the program.

Henderson is a wild card in this schedule. Looks like a 4 hour road trip for a Friday night game? Have they hired a new coach yet? Beechwood at Beechwood 2 years in a row? Success next season depends very much on the development at QB. I am willing to take all bets that they make the playoffs......:ohbrother:

For varsity, and in many cases, JV, the players are known and tryouts are a formality. A new kid that hasn't been to conditioning has to really make an impression quickly, while someone that has been around would have to seriously regress to not make the cut. The youngsters are the ones that have to truly "try-out", and even that is changing with all the ms programs and select teams that are now baseball organizations.

Situations change, people change, opportunities come and go. It would be foolish not to look at other opportunities when they arise. Most of us have probably changed jobs, searching for a new position BEFORE giving notice that we are leaving our current job. Most have probably looked into a change, then decided to stay where we were. We did that without being raked over the coals on a gossip blog. Dave Wirth has every right to do that as well.

Danielle was apparently the coach that was in the mix, but did not pan out. The player that I spoke with said today that the new coach was not the same as the one we discussed last week. Regardless, best wishes to St. Henry's.

True Story.... This kid will be OK wherever he ends up, just needs to keep working hard.

The conversation led me to think it was a female, but can't say for sure.

In a way, Cole is in a tuff spot. As a big fish in a little pond, the big (D-1) schools all consider it. The smaller schools all want him. He now has to see if anything opens up at the larger schools with all the coaching changes. Has the size and tools to play with the big boys, just needs the opportunity. Does he jump on an offer from a NAIA or D3 program or hold out hopes at a bigger program???

It is my understanding from speaking with a player that they have someone lined up. Did not get a name, but a former pitching coach with some ties to Boone Co. I hope it works out.

Well, whomever ends up with the Brossart program will need to work with what he has and make the best of it. If it is the right mix, the results of next year will have a major impact on the future of Mustang football. There is a world of potential in Alexandria, they just need someone to bring it out..... A lot of schools now have very nice facilities, but the same folks running the training. A school such as Highlands does excellent things with a lesser facility because the programming is good and the kids buy into it, while others schools may have outstanding facilities, but lack the programming knowledge, teach technique poorly, or do not sell the kids on the value of training.

I would assume that this young kicker transferred in from southern Kenton County and should be at SK? I am guessing SK would have beaten Scott County and Trinity had he stayed with the school that he should be at. ?????????:lol:
