HB, you're relatively new to BGP. This is a normal rookie reaction.

 

You'll get used to it and it will not bother you in the least.

Yeah he is a left footed frosh..

Well why not? Lets give a kid some publicity that normally wouldn't get much. Any stats on the left footed frosh? Any impressive Feild goals thus far in his young career?

I agree, why not.

 

The sophomore to be did not kick field goals this year. Strickly used as a kick-off specialist. He played for the frosh team.

 

I anticipate that he will take over in all 3 phases of the kicking game next year. This years punter was a senior and the FG kicker is a returning slot receiver. He will gladly step aside and conentrate on his WR position.

Dougherty is the guy on the frosh level. Did everything, but sell tickets according to some!

Kicker will be a good one. When you watch him kick, he gets a lot of air under it. Which I would think is a good thing, especially for a young kid growing and maturing physically. When he hits it right, it's a thing of beauty. As he grows and gets stronger, those high bombs will become high and long bombs. He definitively has the touch. Has good genes too. Pretty sure poppy was an All-State selection as a punter.

 

I'm setting my phone on BGP alert for HB's daily HHS topic. This is going to be fun. Aint missing UKfan now.

Back to the topic: I am really looking fwd to watching the kid play on O or D next yr. I would also expect him to punt next season.

I'm thinking JD will have kicking duties and play D. Like someone else said, probably better chance to see playing time earlier on D. But he is good on O too. Man, decisions, decisions. Good problem to have in Cake World.

Im just sad that we didnt have a thread on the Annual Ft Thomas Xmas Walk that occurs the Sunday night after the State Championship win. You know there are a ton of great topics discussed. Anyone?
