That is simply untrue about not taking Gallatin's stats, in fact we have reached out to them numerous times in the last year to report scores and provide us with notes and Coach Browning has been pretty good about it. I have emailed ADs and coaches at Owen, Carroll and Gallatin (along with all of those in Northern Kentucky) providing numbers to call and a link to click on to report scores and stats. It's up to them at that point.

Enquirer used to not include them, basically did just schools in Boone, Kenton and Campbell, but I have started to include tem as much as possible along with Owen, Carroll, Pendleton and Grant. E-mailed coach/AD numerous times to get stats for their players and got no response. Figured better to lump them all together as HM without any facts to back things up other than they were selected as 8th Region All-Stars by coaches.

Ryle AD Jim Demler told me Friday that interviews are underway. No other details.

Futscher and Kiernan are playing with Kentucky Junior All-Stars this weekend through early next week again Indiana All-Stars. Ogle I am assuming is playing volleyball.

I believe it's June 28... We have Salute to Champions (those teams that won state titles this past year) on June 16 or 17...

Probably doesn't help that UK dropped wrestling around that time and I don't think any of the other Division I schools in the state offer the sport either..

Just for the record regional tournament performance didn't factor into this. The list was released day the tournament started (which is when I blogged it).

This is a Northern Kentucky Football Coaches Association event. Walton-Verona for whatever reason isn't a member. That's why WV doesn't have anyone on the top 24 (or 26 now I think) that the coaches association awards in December.

Porky: Went back and forth on Ogle, but was hard for me to separtate her, Clemons and Haylee Smith. Sometimes best teams are good, because they have a bunch of really good players, but not more than one (like Voskuhl) who totally stand out.

afi100guy: If you are talking about McGovney he was a tough one to leave out, but he missed so much time due to the injuries and he wasn't the same player. Hopefully a little more time to heal will help and without a doubt if that's the case Thomas More got an absolute steal. nkybandit: Morgan was on the cusp of making second team, but as is usually the case when you put one on you have to take one off and I couldn't justify taking anyone else off. I had the Gallatin girls represented on first and second team.

Not sure how the story was misleading... This from AD Kim Gunning in the story: Notre Dame, “regretfully accepts her resignation. ..." She said it was a personal decision. Everyone seems to know why she quit, but even Gunning said it was a, "personal decision." That should be enough unless Nicole wants to say why and she apparently doesn't (question was asked). Surmise what you will.

Ron is in play to be the new coach, but he ISNT the new coach yet. A lot of things still in play.
