Congrats!

LB13-how is this voted on? Do you know? As quite a few of these solid players are pitchers, I presume it is not done by position.

Coaches are allowed to nominate up to 5 players from their team and they are asked to provide any stats that support their nominees. Coaches were to provide nominees by a specific date (NO EXCEPTIONS). Then the names of all nominees and supporting stats are sent back out to only the teams that submitted nominations on time for the coaches to vote on. Coaches are not allowed to vote for players from their team. Coaches will vote for 1st and 2nd team with a point system, 19 thru 1, 19 to that player you think is the P.O.Y. and so on. Then it's simply a matter of adding the numbers up for each player who received votes and the player with the highest total is Player of the Year, the next nine highest are 1st Team, & the next nine are 2nd Team. All others are named as Honorable Mention. This year was the highest amount of nominations with 87 young ladies given that honor.

Thanks to Phil Stewart (Lloyd), Joe Stephenson (Notre Dame), & Kristen Koors (Conner) for all their work in organizing this wonderful event. BTW, it was a packed house tonight.

Congrats to all!! I have had fun watching all the young ladies play this season..

Wow I am very surprised. No one from ND, not even Haylee Smith. What's up with that? And no Moran from Holy Cross?

Congratulations to all these young ladies. They are all very deserving.

So I am to assume that Haylee Smith got nominated YET she didn't get enough votes? Really?

Please tell me the Holy Cross coach didn't get the Moran girl's name in and that's why a D1 player is not on the list.

First off I would like to say CONGRATS to all these ladies. My opinion one of the best players in the 9th region that is not a pitcher is Moran from HC!!

IMO the two best players in NKY are Smith and Moran.

No one from Holy Cross was nominated. Haylee Smith not being first team is just dumb, my guess is more than one school in the Boone County area didn't like how her PARENTS handled things and decided to take it out on the kid by not voting for her.

This thread is about the girls that did make it, all are very deserving congrats.

Lawnboy do you have the 5 scholarship winners which IMO are the biggest winners of the night.

Lauren Willett - Cooper

Whitney Quillen - Highlands

Erica Lang - Simon Kenton

Tricia Kramer - Brossart

Larua Finke- Notre Dame

Alexia Snelbaker - Conner

Katlyn Hoeh - Newport

Sydney Himes - Conner

There were a few schools that did not turn in nominations before the deadline: Bellevue, Dayton, Beechwood, Holy Cross.
