I should think this will change with the Regional Tournament coming up. Sully and Cooper have won a few district tournaments, and have won many, many games over the years in the regular season. Maybe its the whole, "Golden State Warrior" syndrome, in waiting for the real tournament to begin.

Cooper is 10-2 in their last 12, with only losses to 2 really nice teams in Campbell County and Scott for a combined 9 points. What am I missing here?

This is now the second time I've seen this on this blog. What exactly are people meaning? And, why?

Beechwood beat CCH twice. That's awesome for them! I'm certainly not a CCH homer. Just a basketball fan. I would never say CCH was better if they would have won 2 games by a combined 6 points. Two evenly matched teams in which either game, could have gone either way. I'm just a realist. I predicted CCH would win game 2, I was wrong. Beechwood is excellent this year. Not taking anything from them, just saying the two teams are evenly matched. Typically in a close game, coaching matters, and Goetz had these 2 games figured out. Great for him and the players who executed the plan.

Did Pardee play the first time that SK beat WV? For some reason, I feel like WV was missing a key piece in that first district game.

Btw, most good teams have kids who play summer ball, and often some of them play together. And, all schools play their kids together in June for 3 weeks.

So the coach of the "summer squad" is to get the credit and not the high school coach? Sounds like someone is feeling left out.

Was this a preview of the Regional final? These teams appear to be 2 of the top 4. I guess we'll find out.

If memory serves me correct, wasn't the previous coach "run out of town" for not being able to win. Then, Brannen has come in and now, 3 straight district titles. Seems like maybe a good mix of coaching, plus talent.

Without a doubt? Sheesh. 2 very tight games in which CovCath led for a good bit of the game and Beechwood is the "better team this year... without a doubt"? I bet Goetz and the Tigers wouldn't want to play them again. Not saying they couldn't win again, but to me, it seems like 2 evenly matched teams this year and Beechwood was able to pull them out in the end. Good for Beechwood!

Any word on the Sisson Vs. Harding matchup?

Congrats to Newport. Heard Highlands was up most of the game, but that Miller & McGuire had excellent nights for the Wildcats.

So kids are getting D2 scholarships solely based on being 6'8"... Got it. If this kid is a D2 level athlete, and Rankin was a college player, shouldn't this team have been better based on talent alone? Even in spite of the coaching.

Catholic wins this one. They will come in with a fire to beat Beechwood, since they lost in Ft. Mitchell a couple weeks ago. Plus, they'll have Mayer, who is a big difference maker. I have Catholic by 10.

This is true, and probably the best argument. The coach does have to set a culture. With that said, is it possible at Ryle? I guess I dont know the answer.

He is a 32% 3-point shooter, who has hit 23 3-pointers on the year. Does this qualify as outstanding? He does have great size, but what is his skill set? I have seen plenty of 6'4 to 6'5 and above players come through NKY that don't project as D2 players just because of size.

This seems inaccurate. Lloyd is a part of the NKBBCA Division 2 teams. In that Division are Lloyd,St. Henry, Beechwood, Newport, Highlands, NewCath, Holy Cross, and Bishop Brossart. Therefore, they should, or have to, play all of these teams.
