I'll add Ryle to the list, having had personal experience there. I know of others having had issues at Conner & Ockerman, but none personally. Pattern appears to be a BOE issue, IMO.

I know that I have, as a spectator, said things I have regretted. Don't believe to a coach but definitely to opposing fans. Emotions run high in competitive situations. There should be more coaches like you that make a conscience effort to not say things they'll regret to their players. Btw, told my girl yesterday she better watch out for your daughter on those rebounds coming from behind like a flying monkey out of no where! Haley had a great game and she's always a pleasure to watch.

Is this solely a Boone County HS issue? Or does it extend to entire Boone County BOE? My experience is that it's not isolated to one school!!

It's sort of easy to assume when he had a bright blue cap with a big H on it which team he was rooting for. Close game, emotions high on both sides. Both were wrong and the only ones truly affected were the girls. Examples set by both sides left a lot to be desired. But who that participates in this forum can really say they've never made a fool of themselves & probably regretted it later?

Not primary defender of her. Ogle is an absolute fantastic defender and had her under control the entire game. Smith & Henderson defended her when Elly was getting some breaks.

Notre Dame will be scrimmaging Mercy tomorrow and then Grant Co on 11/24. Excited for the season to start!

Cincy Doom will be playing this Sunday at Morehead, Sept 30th at Lindsey Wilson College, Oct 20th-21st at Sparks in Elgin, IL & Nov 2-4th at Scenic City 16s in Chattanooga.

I have discussed some of what occurred. Different thread & forum and didn't specifically name school & coaches but seems a lot of people knew who I was referring to. I don't have a problem telling anyone what our family went through. It was a draining season and summer to say the least. Fighting administration that turns its head to bullying and harassment took its toll on all of us. But during the whole fight, found out that we aren't the first and that it's been allowed for well over a decade, so why correct it now....thus I am pretty sure Haylee won't be the last to suffer at the hands of adults that are supposed to be role models......That is the reason Haylee was removed completely out of Boone County Schools. She's in a better place and looking forward to her future!! That is what truly matters in this whole thing.

Thanks! I know Haylee would enjoy a year playing softball with Maddy!! Our house is looking forward to the upcoming season. :clap:

So you are acknowledging that the word rape was used? Or not used? Contradicted yourself....it was never said or those words not put together?? Just because coaches remain, does not mean administration did not substantiate claims made.....want to read the decision, give me a call. Your link through your friends nieces daughter can get you my number. Or feel free to PM me and I'll give it to you myself. As for the physical altercation, I personally spoke to 2 adults that saw it. Physically touching a kid while you are angered is unacceptable. What those adults reported when asked, I don't know & don't see it being my place to ask, it is their opinion. My opinion is IN ANGER, you don't place your hands on anyone, let alone kids. Be the adult, walk away and address it when the situation has calmed down.

Coach is fortunate to have good talent!! "So, is "school hopping" a growing trend in general? Kids/parents don't like the situation so move to a different school? I can see it in travel ball or AAU, but doing so for school athletics seems to place the value of sports above everything else." When the situation includes rape/weakness being part of the motivational coaches speech, our values rise to the top, far above that of sports!!!

Guess this is why the KHSAA gets the big picture when the eligibility request is made and then makes their decision. We can all say what we think something should and shouldn't happen but the ultimate decision lies in Frankfort. That is the reason why she is prepared to have to sit out a year if they deny the request. Will she be happy about it? No! Why? Because she had to leave a school due to inappropriate statements/actions by adults that she had no control over!
