She is now transferring but we waited until all appeal avenues were exhausted within the school district since Ryle is where she wanted to go. However, she has now faced the music and knows that is no longer an option and is happy with her decision to make Notre Dame her new home. Thank you for the kind words about her.

There has been nothing easy about this entire process that we have been through. Started with casual talk of expectations to the coaches all the way to the top. We now move on....

Conner's door was always open when it came to regional tourney, definitely opens Boone's. Best wishes for Boone, Cooper, Conner & the girls at Ryle in the next season. Will be an interesting one I am sure.

Those "special circumstances" listed in your opinion for transfer approval can occur on the court/field also. But I am in agreement 100% on reasons above on why transfer should be approved or not approved.

What about when the kid doesn't want to have to transfer but because of his/her well being it has to be done? They need to wise up there or maybe it's another group that should wise up.....

There is FAR more to the story than what you have heard. The position she played was NEVER the issue. She gets her looks by colleges in the summer, minimal if any during HS except at state tourney. So since she is multiple position player, we even told the coach at the beginning of the year if they needed her somewhere else then put her there. She just wanted to make it back to state.

Back to the thread on hand though....Ryle will be fine. Have some good talent that will get the chance to shine this year & I hear there's some talent coming up from Gray that's good size.

Yes a release has to be signed by the school the student previously played varsity for whether they agree with it or not. They can attempt to stop the athlete from being granted eligibility. However, the decision ultimately belongs to KHSAA. Thank you, this move is the best thing for her at this point.

She may have to sit out a year but it's the price one pays for doing what is right. It's up to the KHSAA as to whether the kids sit or don't, not the schools

I don't know how it keeps happening in other situations but I can tell you facts in this one. This girl would rather stay & play at Ryle but there are circumstances that occurred last season that affected her overall well being. So therefore she is being removed from that environment.

She had fun with Taylor this weekend & thought you were pretty funny. NCC would be on the short list too if wasn't so far.

Sorry History, guess I tend to be a little more sensitive after this past season. Anyone that has experience with the stalker surely feels my pain. I agree with everything you've said here. The issues seem to stalk the stalker, but they seem to find a way to pull out the wins which is good for the program.

No, it's not okay. Thinking it and doing it are two different things! (but not if it's over little Susie's playing time or place in lineup/on the field. If parent has problem with that, tell them to put in for coach's job and have fun!) History said Ryle had parent trouble, just looking for his definition of it.

In your eyes, exactly what does parental trouble consist of? What would coach trouble include? Or do all the problems teams have get placed on the parents backs?

ABC....I wish some parents would be grammatically correct before they give others parenting advice in regards to what is right and wrong for their families!! When you are in the complete know as to why someone has feelings for Patti & Steve that they do, then offer your knowledge. But I know you aren't, so let me just say that the parents you are speaking about encourage you to give them a call to discuss it. I am sure you still have their phone number. What is your advice to me? My kid told me she couldn't ever play for the Oliverios again....what should I do?
