St. Henry Coach

Featured Replies

Heard that St. Henry's coach will not be returning next year. Does anyone have any information on this or can someone verify? They are loosing a lot so it wouldn't surprise me, however they do have a really good pitcher returning.

The better question should be.......will they have enough girls to even field a team?

I can confirm that Kyla Brady resigned. They should have a team. It would be nice if the school supported the program. They have some talent and Noelle can get it done. It will be interesting.

Maybe since they are both fish eating schools, HC and ST Henry can combine and have a team!

Welcome to BGP redtruck. I think St. Henry could possibly have a very good team next year and they may have one of the best pitchers in the 9th region coming back in the Butts girl. Who else do they have coming back?

Any idea who might be the next coach?

Run a program in the ground then leave, softball in NKY!!

No idea on the coach. A team could win with noelle for sure. All you need is a defense. They lost a lot but they have a few girls who can play.

Any insight on this redtruck? Seems odd she would leave a position she seemed to really want only 4 years ago.

Not close enough to know. I think that a high school girls coach might be the worst job in America. If little Susie isn't playing the right position or batting in the right spot in the order or the coach has the audacity to think little Janie is better than little susie, some parents view that as an act of war. I think the problems started a few years ago and perhaps the school and/or the coaches didn't handle it in the best way. Immature parents don't help. Put it all in a blender and voila.

You hit the nail on the head.

Wow are you new to HS sports? Just about every football team has way more drama than any girls team. Sit in the stands for about 10 minutes and you will know what I am talking about. Baseball and Basketball are right there too.

So I guess you are another one of those people that blame everything on the parents. GOOD coaches very seldom have problems with parents.

And I guess you are talking about when St Henry's best player was held out in the biggest game of the year after she had been cleared to play. Yeah those evil parents , they had no right to be upset.

I can tell you Holy Cross has all kinds of problems with there coach and none are about where little Susie plays.

Where exactly did I blame everything on the parents? Actually I said the school and/or the coaches didnt handle everything the best way all the time. And no I wasn't referencing the situation you mentioned because like I said I wasn't that close to the situation and didn't know all of the facts. I have nothing but great respect for that family. I was referring more to the situation where a drunk parent went into the dugout to cuss out the coach because his daughter wasn't in the lineup. If that wasn't enough, after the game he had to be physically restrained from attacking an assistant. I guess that's Ok? Many parents apparently were ok with it. It seems like many area coaches had their hands full this year. Anyway with a new coach coming in the slate gets wiped clean. I hope the school and parents support the program well because I know the girls deserve it.

Couldn't disagree more. See Beechwood baseball as example 1. See Ryle softball as example 2. Both teams very successful, and both teams with big time parental trouble. The inmates run the asylum.

I did say seldom, and also just bc you win doesn't mean you are a good coach. I know nothing about Beechwood baseball and really don't know much about Ryle softball other than the little I have seen. I do know Ryle has major problems with some of its top players and some choose not to play, and some are talking about leaving. I would think a good coach would find away tp work and get through these problems more times than not. This isn't AAU or some type of summer team where it is pretty easy to just jump ship.

Coaches have problems with parents and players at every level including college and in the pro sports. I know a major college softball team in the state that has real time trouble with a parent. So much so they use the word "hate" and other things that I can't post on here about this parent. It has no effect on the team.

And if you have a team with the inmates running the asylum then I would say you have some problems either with the coach or the admin and the parents.
