I would say cut block, nothing dirty, but something to send a message early. Or a double team maybe. Either way it is going to be tough. I would think that the D-line coach at Colerain will have him ready for anything. He has to go up against some big boys in practice!

Its hard to say, I know it hurt girls basketball at Ludlow, and I am assuming that this isnt an isolated incident. Ludlow has lost a lot of decent football players over the years who have gone on to greener pastures, some greener than others......

I just hate to see what it does to a team like Ludlow. I dont know if they were going to be any good, but if your best player transfers then the team will suffer.........

How old is Coach Stratton? What did he coach at Holmes and what kind of system does he plan to bring to Lloyd?

Make it a competition. Divide the kids into groups just like is done during the season and challenge them to be the best. Work hard up to a point and make it a big deal top get stronger. Develop a system of how to determine the winner. Have each group produce a winner and then have an overall winner. Post it in the locker room and weight room. People love to compete, make it a game and let them have fun. competition brings out the best in people and attendance will go up, and most importantly it will show on the field.

Thats a rough life that so many kids do have to live with each day.....

Again, I was just curious, Mr. Mueller is a very smart man and it takes some smarts to teach Physics..........

I guess Mike Yeagle (gym teacher) and Noel Rash (Social Studies) must be pretty stupid in your eyes since they are coaches who teach subjects other than Math and science, and by the way I know that Mueller at Highlands is an extremely smart individual and has a science background, but does he still teach a class or is he just a FB coach and AD?

The rule of being a teacher and head coach is a thing of the past. However, a lot of schools still prefer to hire people that teach in the building. In most cases a coach can be found to coach football and basketball and be teachers, it was becoming harder and harder to find coaches for swimming, golf, tennis etc... so they went the para professional route.

We are talking about a 4th grader right?????

Not doubting this information but I think it would be hard to tell anybody that there kid cant play or they will get fired. What happens if the son is the back up or third string Qb and some injuries happen, If coach Thompson's son is put in at Qb will the principal and the AD and whoever else rush the field and fire the guy? I think the Boone Co principal has more sense than that...........

I agree 100% NCC girls have been tough for a long time. They were pretty good when Ron Dawn was coaching the boys program. Whatever happened to the old NCC coach? Her name escapes me now but I always liked her and thought she did an OK job at NCC.

Ryle, yes, Cooper lets wait and see. Think about how things would have gone if there never was a Ryle or Cooper High School. Heck Owen might still be coaching:thumb:

If there is soooo much talent in Boone County how come there have been sooooo few Sweet 16 births? Go back to around 1950 and see how many 9th region titles have been won by all this talent in Boone County. I would venture to say that there is around 6, Boone I think has three and Ryle has two and Conner has 1. It could easily be less than that. Dont talk about all the great talent in Boone County without thinking about the results that have been produced over the years................................. And..... there are some great coaches at Conner, look at their other programs and there are great coaches....................

Sorry folks, Owen Hauck aint leading Shaun Alexander out of the tunnel any time soon. Time to face facts and come to the conclusion that being in a county which has 4 county schools and one growing independent district it is going to be hard to be at the top each and every year. Maybe if they dropped down to 5A it would help, but I dont see it happening, talent is spread too far in this county.............................

Dave Faust = Best Coach In Northern KY Hands down Still plays a big school schedule when he is at a small school. Still finds a way to do it. Depending on the draw I wouldnt be surprised to see him get a win in the tourney.

Your right, they were not all students, I should have been more specific on it being the student section, but I am serious when I say that there was probably close to 1000 people in their section. They started on the floor and went all the way to the upper deck at Conner High School. Just doing some estimation, Conner holds around 3700 people to 4000 depending on how well the fire marshall is paying attention, and on the night I am thinking about they had roughly 1000 people in their section, what was so neat about it was that all of the cheers that the kids were doing were done by everybody. It was a truly awesome site.
