  1. I would say cut block, nothing dirty, but something to send a message early. Or a double team maybe. Either way it is going to be tough. I would think that the D-line coach at Colerain will have him ready for anything. He has to go up against some big boys in practice!
  2. Its hard to say, I know it hurt girls basketball at Ludlow, and I am assuming that this isnt an isolated incident. Ludlow has lost a lot of decent football players over the years who have gone on to greener pastures, some greener than others......
  3. I just hate to see what it does to a team like Ludlow. I dont know if they were going to be any good, but if your best player transfers then the team will suffer.........
  4. How old is Coach Stratton? What did he coach at Holmes and what kind of system does he plan to bring to Lloyd?
  5. Make it a competition. Divide the kids into groups just like is done during the season and challenge them to be the best. Work hard up to a point and make it a big deal top get stronger. Develop a system of how to determine the winner. Have each group produce a winner and then have an overall winner. Post it in the locker room and weight room. People love to compete, make it a game and let them have fun. competition brings out the best in people and attendance will go up, and most importantly it will show on the field.
  6. Thats a rough life that so many kids do have to live with each day.....
  7. Again, I was just curious, Mr. Mueller is a very smart man and it takes some smarts to teach Physics..........
  8. Thank you for the information, I was not sure but was just curious......
  9. I guess Mike Yeagle (gym teacher) and Noel Rash (Social Studies) must be pretty stupid in your eyes since they are coaches who teach subjects other than Math and science, and by the way I know that Mueller at Highlands is an extremely smart individual and has a science background, but does he still teach a class or is he just a FB coach and AD?
  10. The rule of being a teacher and head coach is a thing of the past. However, a lot of schools still prefer to hire people that teach in the building. In most cases a coach can be found to coach football and basketball and be teachers, it was becoming harder and harder to find coaches for swimming, golf, tennis etc... so they went the para professional route.
  11. How about Bob Knight to the Vols? bet it would be great drama to see him and Pat Summitt argue over gym time:p:D:p:D:lol::lol:
  12. Not doubting this information but I think it would be hard to tell anybody that there kid cant play or they will get fired. What happens if the son is the back up or third string Qb and some injuries happen, If coach Thompson's son is put in at Qb will the principal and the AD and whoever else rush the field and fire the guy? I think the Boone Co principal has more sense than that...........
  13. I agree 100% NCC girls have been tough for a long time. They were pretty good when Ron Dawn was coaching the boys program. Whatever happened to the old NCC coach? Her name escapes me now but I always liked her and thought she did an OK job at NCC.
  14. Any word on who has applied to coach?
  15. I didnt know Coach Marksberry was that sneaky.................................
  16. Hey there is a new track in Cougartown!, who needs anythng else when you got that!
  17. Would this have happened if unkown player was playing more and CCH was winning like it used to? I would like to say no it would not.
  18. Watching him at the combine, and I am no expert, but he seems to have trouble with the longer drops, 5 to 7 steps from under center. It was all simulated and he looked a bit rusty. Matter of fact they all looked a bit robotic. Is this just the pressure of the combine or are these guys like Newton really like that?
  19. 10 losses with Cal is better than watching 10 wins with Saul Smith running the point:madman::madman::madman::scared::scared::scared::eek::eek:
  20. What is wrong with UK??? The obvious statement is they are way too young. Their senior hardly played last year and other upperclassmen are not ready for the leadership role. How about this: 1. Maybe, just maybe, last years group of freshman were the best group of freshman ever assembled. Seriously. That group was sooo talented that they would have such big leads and give them up, only to come on at the end. If your up 20+ in a game, even if you cant close a game out, its hard to lose that big of a lead. 2. This years freshmen are not as good as last years. Period. 3. Patrick Patterson is one of the all time great UK players, his guidance on and off the floor was and is missed this season. 4. Nobody has come close to replacing Patterson. His influence is gone and is missed. It is unfair to want to force a guy like Darius Miller into that role if he does not want it. 5. Anytime UK goes on the road they get the home teams best game. Arkansas might not go to the tourney this season, but beating UK was great for them and their coach. On a neutral floor (SEC Tourney) look for them to do well. UK always travels well. Their fans always show up, even when they are not supposed to. Case in point was when the SEC tourney was moved to Ga Tech because of a tornado, only a select group of tickets were given out, and what happened, the place was still full of UK fans.
