  1. He was at the National High School Football All Star Game. He had 3 touchdowns, an interception and won game MVP. The kid can play.
  2. Conner played a great game and deserved to win. Holy Cross was missing starting guard Brandon McClendon (13 ppg) and our best perimeter defender. It would have made a huge difference on both ends of the floor. Conner was able to get into their offenses a lot easier without him on the floor. Could have still been a Conner win who knows but much much closer for sure. Congrats to the Cougars. I think Holy Cross will be just fine.
  3. Ashland does not play Cov Holy Cross unless there has been an update to our schedule that I am not aware of. I do see where the Tomcats travel back to Northern Ky in February to take on Simon Kenton and Cov Cath.
  4. This one is tough and going to hurt for a long time. I coached varsity girls with Rob in 2005/06 with Holy Cross. That was the senior year for Rachel Lantry and company. We connected as coaches and developed a 15 year friendship. He was one of my best friends. And yes, he was a great basketball coach but his passion was teaching, being in the classroom and helping kids. When I started Holy Cross Radio in 2011/12 Rob joined me to be part of my crew broadcasting the girls games and did so for the past 9 years. Things will never be the same for me or Holy Cross Radio as I will miss him dearly. Rest easy Rob. The Holy Cross and NKU community is deeply saddened.
  5. I've seen this play tried many times over the last few years but rarely has it worked. Surprised it got by Coach Meyer and NCC.
  6. There were 3 ties and 9 lead changes in the game. Holy Cross led by as many as 8 at 27-19 early in the 2nd quarter. Points in the paint really hurt Holy Cross (36-18) and 2nd chance points were 11-0 in favor of CCH. In the first half junior Brandon McClendon was unstoppable getting to the rim scoring 14 of his 18 points. CCH did a much better job in the 2nd half limiting his penetration. After getting beat 87-40 by CCH earlier in the year the Indians gave the Colonels their best shot in this one but ran out of gas in the 2nd half. Best of luck to the five Holy Cross seniors. They were a pleasure to watch these past 4 years. Lastly, congratulations to senior Grant Disken who went over 1,000 career points.
  7. B-Ball fan is crushing it recently with these write ups.
  8. Final from Ludlow. Freshman Jacob Meyer led the Indians with 23 points, Junior Jeremiah Hicks added 22. Holy Cross travels to Erlanger on Friday to take on St. Henry in the regular season finale.
  9. Ryle ahead of Holy Cross is one of the worst attempts at ranking 2 teams all year. SMH
  10. Final from Latonia on senior night. Holy Cross makes it 3 in a row with a win on senior night to improve to 13-9 on the year. Calvary has a really nice team this year and are well coached. The Indians were led by Freshman Jacob Meyer who scored a game high 25 points. Junior Brandon McClendon added 16 and senior Nate Niehaus 11. The Cougars were led by Cross Dugan and Noah Herald who each scored 18. Unofficial from Holy Cross Radio.
