So I saw none of this while I was at Ryle for DH, is that collapse (26 at HT and 16 going to the 4th) more about HC sloppy and bad shots or more about St. Henry upping their play?  Or some of both?

Some of both and Meyer never gets a call.  His strength and athleticism is used against him when in the 9th region.

This is never talked about and it should be. He is so much better than anyone on the floor most nights that he rarely ever gets calls his way and he should. That was really evident when the Indians went down for the All “A” classic.  Those refs were much more fair across the board and I am certain that HC went to the line more in those games than maybe any of their 9th region games this year.

Holy Cross has a history of not being able to close out close games but to let a 26 point lead slip through your fingers is inexcusable.  Really would like the perspective of someone that was there.

Not a chance.  I said in the Newport/St. Henry thread after The Cru hung with Newport and nearly ran Great Crossing, that the Cru were a team no one will want any part of.  And tonight they showed that and then some.

Enough with refs and the greatness of one player because one player a team never makes and that was shown tonight……  “Used against Him” is just plain wrong.  That is a laughable narrative.
 

The Cru with an insane team effort with zero help from refs and where they just wanted it more and out played another team and were better all the way around tonight.  
 

The Cru straight up won this game end of story.  Any other narrative is completely disrespectful to their effort and hard work tonight and their climb they have been on recently in their grit and attitude.  St. Henry is a team no one in this region should want any part of right now.

I mean what a come back at the High School level.  This is the kind of stuff that everyone should celebrate.  Cru nation you should be proud tonight.

2) CRU kicked their butt the second half.

3) look at the numbers in and out of the 9th.

4) refs were bad

I was there and HC got outplayed by a team that wanted it more and has been rolling lately.  Meyer is at another level, but good god He gets more than His fair share of calls.  Enough with blaming refs for every little thing.  Refs don’t lose games.

The Cru won that game tonight as they straight got after it.  It was a spectacular game.  One of the best I have seen in a long long time.  Just wow….

if you are going to say it - DO YOUR HOMEWORK - he does not get his fair share in the 9th.

Who cares about Avatars and have more respect for the game, the effort, the players, the result, the refs themselves, and yourself for that matter and stop blaming the refs when every little thing does not go your way.  Strive to be a bit better than that.

Seems to be a common occurrence around the state this year. When are we going to accept the fact that they aren't perfect, and they aren't out there to screw anyone?
