I've never understood this line of thinking. Just because your good enough to play in middle school or as a freshman shouldnt guarantee playing time as an upperclassman. Instead of getting upset get your tail in the gym and get better. Or you can always play golf.

Does it really matter how they get there? Or why they transfer? Maybe they like the other teams school colors better.... Who cares. The only opinion/ approval that matters is the KHSAA.

Central Hardins has a loaded lineup. I can see them making a deep run. Excellent baseball team.

Pitcher made the same move all day long. It was not a balk the first 3 innings. Suddenly became a balk in the fourth. Centrals head coach had a chat with the umpire and SHAZAM!! It was a balk from then on. Home plate umpire is spineless.

I agree with most of what is being said in this thread. I agree that all the other stats are what lead to points being scored. However, at the end of the game the winning team may have been out rebounded or have fewer steals or assists but they always have more points on the board. That is why scorers garner more attention in most cases. Coaches should do a good job of communicating the importance of every players role. I love the kids that go out and get 10-12 rebounds a game but may only score 6-8 points. Those kids are needed on a basketball team but they will rarely get the spotlight that the scorers do. As long as the coaches and the kids in the locker room understand the value of a rebounder or defensive specialist that is all that matters.

First time watching the Camels play. I came away impressed. Very nice team. Titans shot the lights out in this one or it may have been closer.

Creech is a really good player in a special situation. Kudos to her and her accomplishment. It is amazing that she can score like that night after night. However IMO there are several girls around the state that could put up similar numbers if they were to trade places with Creech on the Jenkins team ......... Now about comparing Creech to Boley. There is no comparison. Period. Erin Boley is on a different level. There are only a handful of girls in the nation that are on Boleys level. The USA basketball, McDonald's All -American, and Norte Dame commit is the POY and rightfully so.

It was a fun game to watch. Lots of offense. Butler is talented and deep. Mercer had some chances but Couldn't get a stop when they needed them. Butler's size and rebounding played the biggest factor I thought. CAP.... It sounds like Mercer may have beat your team by 30 and your in need of a hug.

To reach the finals SH beat GRC, Danville & Cov Holy Cross. Mercer County beat Rowan Co. Newport Central Catholic & Boyle Co. I don't see an advantage to either path. Sacred Heart played better in the Championship game than Mercer did. SH out rebounded the Titans and shot 48% from the arc. They had a good night. It was a fun game to watch with14 lead changes in the first half. Titans down 1 with a couple minutes to go... could have went either way. Congrats to the Valkyries on the win.

The officials called several touch fouls and let a few muggings under the basket go with no whistle. Typical high school girls game. It wasn't great but I've seen much worse. Houston for Mercer was also in foul trouble all night.

Elite 8 match ups Etown vs. Ryle Mercer Co. vs. Eastern E. Carter vs. Lincoln Co Butler vs. Murray That's the way I see it shaking out. Eastern vs. Bowling Green will be a good 2nd round matchup as will Murray vs. Mason Co.

Final last night from Henry Clay Lexus Shootout. Fast paced fun game to watch.

101-21. 91-21. 81-21. It really doesn't matter does it? Some would complain that 71-21 would be unsportsmanlike. Sometimes there is only so much you can do. The other team IS that bad. IMO you cannot tell your girls not to play hard. At that point the game becomes more about not hurting anyone's feelings....that's not what basketball should be about.

If the coach is ok with it, she is a good teammate, and she can help the team win...that's all that should matter. A parents hurt feelings is the one thing that should not be a factor. Rarely in life is there 100% acceptance rate for anything.

Holmes is loaded with athletes. Teams that have an excellent point gaurd along with several other good ball handlers Can play with them. Teams must also protect the paint well and try to force jump shots. They want to get to the rim on every possession. If you don't have a strong PG they will eat you alive.

Kyhoopfever nailed it. Franklin County has a very good team. Nothing shocking about the outcome of this one. It will make CC stronger in the long run if they learn from it.

Franklin wins by 10+. I think Stewart, Frank, and Kilbourne will be too much for the Camels to handle.

Mercer County 85 Holmes 69 MC 15 21 19 30 - 85 Holmes11 22 18 18 - 69 Fun game to watch. Both teams pressed and played man to man entire scrimmage. Both played 7-8 girls. Mercer shot a ton of 3's and Holmes tried to get to the rim.
