2026 Dayton Greendevils
Don't get me wrong, Greendevil Stadium is beautiful and is awesome for the current players and future players. Davis Field being gone is going to be sad and weird though, MANY awesome memories there.

Is CAL the best “small school” team in Ky HS Football history?
If small school is referring to Classes 1A-3A I would say yes. When I typically think of small school, I think in terms of 1A and 2A. For the second question, I'm not sure if anyone in the state would play within 21 points of them or beat them this season except Trinity.

CAL big and quickly probably.

Dayton 48 Ludlow 26
Even with this not being a district game, it has the feeling of being an important game for both teams in terms of seeing where each is at. I believe that after the final of this one, we could know more of where each is I within all of 1A in Kentucky and with the NKY part of it too.

Northern Kentucky Top 10
This is how I would mostly rank NKY as of now. The bigger question marks right now are NCC and Campbell County. I would keep NCC at 9 or 10 and maybe add Covington Holy Cross over Campbell County. I believe that Dayton and Walton-Verona aren't on the far outside of it, but the next couple weeks may speak more to that, as well as with others on the lower end of the top 10.

BluegrassPreps.com Class 1A Football Rankings 9/7
Interesting top 10, especially past #3. I think that there's likely quite a bit of separation after Pikeville and Raceland as of now. The rest of it could get really interesting and have some changes over the remainder of the season. I agree with who's in the top ten right now. I believe that Dayton is just on the outside of it now. The next couple weeks will say more as to them being in it. They haven't played the strongest opponents over the past three weeks, but they have clearly done what was expected of them and more. Newport Central Catholic is also another team just on the outside, but it's a wait and see. Out of 1A to this point, Paintsville beating Newport Central Catholic has been a big part of that and Paintsville might be quite better than many expected, including how easily they beat Eminence based on what others expected of them before the season started.

Dayton 48 Ludlow 26
Dayton will go to Ludlow to face the Panthers Friday night at 7 pm. Dayton just beat Owen County 56-0 and Ludlow lost to Walton-Verona 33-0 in their last games. Ludlow has also beaten Newport, which was the beginning of their season. Over Dayton's three games played, they have given up 7 points defensively and their offense has been very balanced, especially in their running game. Micah Foster has also shown good ability with passing the ball and running it too. I look forward to this game and believe it could be interesting. I know Ludlow is fairly young and that both teams have talent. How do others see this game going o.n Friday night?

Ole Miss 41 Louisville 38
Tough break on the ending. Even in losing, I was impressed with Louisville's overall effort. I didn't expect the game to be as close as it was and they could have won if not for a couple mistakes.

Ole Miss 41 Louisville 38
Come on Cards, let's have a better second half offensively!

Ole Miss 41 Louisville 38
Big game tonight. I believe that the defense and offensive line has to show up strongly for the Cardinals. If the defense doesn't, I think Ole Miss wins.

College Football General Discussion (Week 2)
With the clock being at zero legitimately before the gifted second, it should be. When the ball was released on the pass it was at 3 seconds and it clearly hit zero before the play was done:

That clock was at zero, Michigan got a HUGE favor.

Walton Verona 33 Ludlow 0
The announcer at the game I went to said Walton was winning 33-0 earlier and I was surprised. I thought this would have been a closer game.
