It makes sense that they played with playing tomorrow and the last season at Davis Field. It was a game that I didn't go to or get updates on last season. Hopefully the outcome is better for Dayton than the last two goes at it with Owen County.

For whatever reason, I didn't remember them playing. Maybe they did.

Owen County comes to Greendevil Stadium this Friday night. I don't know anything at all about Owen County this season. The last time Dayton played them was at Davis Field for the last season at Davis and took a beating, which was the season that Dayton had mostly freshmen and lower numbers. Going by Dayton's first two games this season, I would say that their chances are better based on being more experienced and by results of their first games of the season compared to results against them from the last couple seasons. What do others think about this game?

I am really on the fence with this one. I picked Ludlow but a Walton win wouldn't surprise me either. This will likely be close for whoever wins in my opinion. Good luck to both teams.

Eminence winning wouldn't surprise me. I remember there being talk about Eminence potentially making some noise this season a while back. This game may be the opportunity for them. Good luck to both teams.

Trinity should win without a lot of trouble in my opinion.

I thought CAL would win but thought Owensboro would have done more than they did. CAL is clearly the #2 football team in Kentucky statewide and I seriously don't believe any teams can beat them except Trinity and I seriously question how many other teams could play closely with them at this point.

Even though I did not watch tonight, I believe Dayton has indicated that they are playing better than last season clearly based off tonight's score and last week's game against Gallatin County. These games were very close last season and they gave a lot of points up defensively against them last season too. Good start to the season for the Green Devils.

After last night I’d say 5, if not less.

Dayton will play at Pendleton County on Friday, host Owen County the week after, and play at Ludlow after that. I really look forward to the Ludlow game this season.

Going by reading the game thread, it sounds like Owensboro is nails defensively and that this could have been worse for X than it was.

Congratulations to Ludlow. I look forward to the game against Dayton. High potential to be a fun and interesting game.

Dayton opened their season with a solid win. They have a lot of balance offensively in the backfield. I liked what I saw from the offensive line and defense tonight overall. They do need to clean the penalties up. Outside of the penalties, good game by the Green Devils tonight.

LOTS of unsportsmanlike penalties to end the game and combined. Dayton had some and GC had a bunch more, especially to end the game. Longest running clock game I’ve watched anytime.
