I consider this kind of similar as I have over the previous few seasons. It’s definitely a good game for both teams to get a gauge for where they are at. With saying that, I kind of believe this one is more important for Lloyd with them getting to the semifinals last season. If I’m Lloyd, I wouldn’t want to leave much question about who’s the better team, if any.

If Dayton stays healthy I can see them playing good football at midseason or after, which is when it’s important. Dayton should feel good about their backfield with the running backs. The offensive line and defense looked better to me. Both need some work still but they were better clearly than last season to me.

At the end of the third quarter, Holy Cross scores making it 14-6. They drove the field well that drove. I’m happy overall with what Dayton showed. Have to head out.

At halftime, Holy Cross is leading Dayton 7-6 . Both defenses have made an interception and running has looked pretty good for both. Dayton’s defense looks quite better from the post two seasons so far.

Highlands, fans, and supporters are likely feeling good after this. I figured that Highlands was going to be tough to beat this season, but I didn't expect them to be as impressive as they were, even with Male being down from previous seasons. Even with being a scrimmage, I consider this impressive of Highlands. Good luck on your season!

I know this is preseason ratings and I expected Anderon to be a heavy favorite for D2, but to be considered above everyone but Massillon says quite a bit. It will be determined more as games get played, but this has to make Anderson football, and its fans feel pretty good.

How did Dayton look if you went or heard anything? I’m curious, especially against Walton and Lynn Camp if they played too. I know it rained quite a bit and stormed some earlier, but the game went on as far as I know.

That’s 110% where I am and the defense has to play better too.

I have twins and they are year round now. They are active in basketball too. And one does drama and singing between all of it. They are in their last season of youth cheerleading and just began middle school volleyball now.

I have also heard that practice has gone well for them to this point. I haven’t seen them in action yet, have been busier with my daughters beginning middle school sports and cheer this season. They are super active and keeping me much busier, but I love it though.

He is and they have other solid running backs too.

I was told they are scrimmaging Walton-Verona this Friday and will scrimmage Lynn Camp on 8/14, both games at home. I won’t be able to go this Friday but I plan to go to the next one. I’ll post information as I know more about the scrimmage game this Friday.

I don’t disagree with you. They have the potential to have a good season, the players are there unquestionably and they should be more mature defensively after the lumps they took the past two seasons. Another positive is that they don’t have a lot of seniors.

Sorry for the schedule not looking better organized. Didn’t post the way I typed it lol. Games of interest to me are when they play Ludlow, Bellevue, Western Hills, and Iroquois. I would also like to see them play Newport better based on their past two seasons results. Dayton played Western Hills closely and lost at Iroquois last season. I believe that how they do in the mentioned games will tell more of what to expect from them in potential postseason games. I also believe that their results of the first 2-3 games could be indicators based on returning more upper class players this season. I don’t have information on numbers but a few returning players are Malachi Kennedy, Mykah Foster, Elias Lopez Torres, and Landon Harris. Regardless of numbers, it’s going to greatly depend on how much the offensive line and defense has improved.

This is true about Ohio, especially in Divisions 1-3. The other divisions are good too but I think 1-3 is the most competitive . Picking/guessing the state champions in Ohio is a tall task for almost anyone.

I don’t know about their game against Trinity, but I believe that Anderson wins D2 in Ohio this season. If Trinity beats them, I don’t look for it to be by much.

I think that Pulaski made the right choice keeping the hire internal based on recent successes, especially if he had familiarity to all that was mentioned. This was less risky than hiring externally by far in my opinion. I am glad for them that this situation worked out for them the way that it did.

Elder should be very good this season. I know it’s not uncommon for the GCL teams to beat one another, even when one seems quite better. I’m still surprised that X beat them in the playoffs last season though.
