  1. On kick return hc is very good with Beal and pouncy back, pouncy returned the first kick against Dayton for a td.. As far as xp and fg hc has a freshman kicker in Hamilton scott who is also a backup qb, not sure what exactly his range is in the kicking game though.
  2. To me this game comes down to defense. Can Cooper cover 4-5 wrs the whole game, Gabbard has no problem "dinking and dunking" his way down the field. For HC can they get it together on defense, they are still trying to plug a few holes and get the right people in the right spots. To me HC is always a little weak on run defense so I will give the slight edge to Cooper if they can control the clock, but if this game becomes a shootout who knows.
  3. I was at practice today to see hc in full pads for the first time. They looked pretty good on offense especially when they went 4-5 wide, teams are going to have trouble matching up with the speedy skill positions on the Indians.
  4. I have heard from a couple of people that this was going to happen. I cant confirm 100% but I wont be surprised if he did. However he will have a hard time playing QB at HC, both Gabbard and Pouncy have been looking decent in 7 on 7.
  5. I have heard this "rumor" and also that there may be at least a handful of other athletes in other sports coming out for the football team. However until any of these things actually happen they will only be "rumors". I have heard these types of things at HC since 2002, but the recent state title may actually persuade some of these athletes who are on "the bubble" to come out and at least give football a try.
  6. I am thinking that the line will probably end up like this: RT- Ketron RG- Sullivan C- Maston LG- Munson LT- Russell
  7. Somerset made this exact same argument...that obviously didn't turn out to well for them when they played HC.
  8. After watching both teams, I would have to say that as long as HC continues to play defense against the run the way that they have in the playoffs they will win. I do not think that Glassgow has a strong enough passing game to keep pace with HC's high powered offense. From what I have seen of Glasgow they are good but NCC is still the best team that HC has played all year. HC wins by 2+ tds
  9. Somerset is playing alot like Holmes did... Many personal fouls even when hc is taking a knee.... 48-14 hc.... FINAL
  10. The guy running the clock is ten same guy who always does..So it must the machine itself
  11. The senior class from last years Indians that was led by QB Jerry Arlinghaus was a much worse team their frosh year than the freshman team from this year and they turned out alright, so I wouldn't write them off just yet, for many of those players it was their first time ever playing football. Also the senior class for the Indians this year only won about 4 games their freshman year. Yes the Indians will lose alot of team speed next year(fuller, walker, chames, kohake, etc.) but as you saw in the game against NCC, Koz will be able to adapt his offense around the personnel that he has (Beal, Pouncy), I think the may shorten up the passing game and go "west coast" next year much like they did against NCC.
  12. I never said that HC will shut NCC out, I don't think anyone would say that. I am merely saying that HC has cranked up their defense in the latter part of the season, and could be tough for NCC. In fact HC played very well against NCC the first time around the difference was that NCC had 3 or 4 big plays that HC couldn't overcome, if you take away those plays I don't recall NCC ever really having an sustained drive in that game, if they had any there may have been one.
  13. HC's Defense has not given up a point in the last 2 1/2 games if I am not mistaken. It probably would be 3 games but the lights blew at the start of the 3rd qtr against Holmes and the game was called with HC up 41-0. If the defense continues to play this way and they don't get down on themselves like VoR said in the previous post, then we could very well see HC upset NCC in this game. Im not sure who will win this one but I'm gonna root for the underdog and say HC by 7
  14. The circuit breaker blew and couldn't be repaired so the game was called with about 6 minutes left in the 3rd qtr. I showed up to this game halfway though the 2nd qtr because of work and I must say that in the 12 minutes of this game that I saw, it was the most unsportsmanlike I have ever seen a team play. It was almost every single play that Holmes received a personal foul. Several of their players should have been ejected from the game(ex:#11) for blatantly punching HC players while standing in front of the refs. They did receive penalties for these actions but this game would have gotten way out of hand, the way it was going. Anyway, from what I understand HC put up a quick 21 early on and never took their foot off the gas. It also didn't hurt with all the help Holmes was giving them in penalty yards.
  15. Final... Ncc won the game with 2 long runs and a deep pass that was covered well, but the hc db was giving up at least 6 inches to the ncc receiver on a jump ball... Game was much closer than the score shows.
  16. Ncc won the game with 2 long runs and a deep pass that was covered well, the receiver just had about 8 inches on the hc db... This game was much closer than the score shows
