Don't keep up with 1-A a lot, has Williamsburg got what it takes to get to Lexington? I remember that team mayfield beat by 1 point in OT, they were really, really good.

No question about Kyle Hurt, this kid is just a beast, so much heart and the kid plays offense, defense, special teams, his motor is HUGE, his heart is huge, and the kid will hurt you! Wish we had about 6 or 7 more like him!

Hard to argue with beechwood not being the prohibitive favorite. Beechwood is always tuff as nails, but no way I thought they would beat Corbin. And even IF Corbin was overrated, that was one heck of a win by the tigers, but the games still have to be played, and way to many variables yet to play out. While not as big of a ( oh wow what a huge win) I remember one year when mayfield beat beechwood at mayfield in the semi'a and most everyone, at least in these parts thought that it was over, mayfield was going to win the state championship. Heck even the radio announcer said mayfield just won the state championship. Hazard had something to say about that. I'd still put my hat in the ring as the tigers will win it all, but, not to sound redundant, it ain't over till it's over.

There's no doubt in my mind that I'll get hammered for this, but I think most people that was at this game would agree, the officiating was horrendous to say the least. I've done some officiating myself and I know it's a tuff, unappreciated job, I know that every official I worked with did their absolute best to get every call right. EVERY game is going to have missed calls, their human, and I think most times the bad calls will even themselves out, and if we could watch the film last night probably would be as well. Generally Mayfield is a well disiplined team, and last night there was some untypical penalties by mayfield. But having said all that, that crew last night was a joke, u cannot convince me they called even close to a decent game. The first half Tom around 2 hours to play, flags were fling as often as passes were, it was just ridiculous! Now before you go to hammering away, remember, I'm a mayfield fan, and we won, by a considerable amount. Go back and check my post from last years CAL game and you'll see that after they beat us I did not CRY about the officiating, we simply got beat by a better team, I guess my point is its hard to believe that this is the best that the administrator can has to work with, if it is, there definitely needs to be new numbers in the officials pool.

I honestly can't figure this team out yet, happy with a win, but this was very ugly.
