  1. Remind people that SK played in the title game and they had a back named Miles Simpson.
  2. Mustang is the voice of Brossart athletics. Im' sure he can shed some light on the situation.
  3. The problems with the football team go deeper than the head coach. How many games has their entire NKYFL teams won in the last 5 years? Not that many, I can assure you. So the kids come up to the high school with nothing but a losing attitude and little experience at being competitive. Mix in the socioeconomic depleted community and it is a recipe for disaster. Sure you can mix in a good team every few years, but when Dayton is down, they are WAYYYYY down.
  4. So, if I wear 20 of them, I could possibly beat up Brock Lesnar?
  5. Things to do today: Wake up Check BGP brush teeth Check BGP get dressed Check BGP go to work Check BGP go to lunch Check BGP go back to work Check BGP go home Check BGP spend quality time with family (15 min.) Check BGP go to bed Dream about checking BGP
  6. I wasnt able to attend, but heard a player left in an ambulance. Any updates?
  7. Throwing clip boards (Bellevue) and cursing (Bishop) is not part of the game. I would think that a parochial school, such as Bishop Brossart, would take a long look at the behavior of the coaches. I would expect some fallout to occur on this one. I agree the officiating was awful. Players do make mistakes, the personal fouls were costly for the Mustangs. But to have a coach also draw one is unacceptable at any level in any sport! Bottom line is: Bellevue won. Bishop Brossart is still learning how to play at that level (both players and coaches--since neither has been there before).
  8. 1982 University of Nebraska Roger Craig was moved to fullback so that Mike Rozier could play tailback. That is one tough tandem in the backfield.
  9. Congratulations to Bellevue on the win. It was apparent that the lack luster effort against Walton was not going to be repeated against Bishop Brossart. The Mustangs did do some things well, but continually shot themselves in the foot with a multitude of penalties.
  10. I think I will go with Bishop Brossart in an upset. Bellevue seems to be a little out of sorts this year. They do not compare at all to the teams of the recent past. The same is true for the Mustangs. They have improved greatly from past teams. Brossart 35 Bellevue 6
  11. The opinion that Louisville only has T and X is what is shown here on BGP. They dominate the conversations. Obviously two of the biggest schools in the state will have a high representation. The same is true for Highlands. By looking at the posts on this site, downstate would think the Bluebirds are the only good team in NKY.
  12. 19 posts and not a hint of a Highlands fan. Just kidding. I think the overall quality of NKY football is outstanding. Each and every year, it seems we have multiple representatives in the state finals. NKY has won its share. I would not expect this year to be any different. The "Real View of NKY football" will be determined in the playoffs by how may teams advance in the first and second round. KIR has a good feel for most of the teams he mentioned. Several will disappoint or underachieve (Ryle, Cov Cath, Dixie...) I will hold off judgement to see how they do in the playoffs. After all, there is only one champion (per class, that is).
  13. Satuday Night. Bellevue seems to be in a down year. People criticize Brossarts schedule. Who wins?
  14. Nice Job Mustangs! Not that much of a surprise. I thought you were the better team and should have won anyway. You guys are achieving a lot of "firsts". First 5-0 start, First win over Ludlow, Now let's see a first win over Bellevue!
  15. ^^^^Well said. Also, dont forget that Brossart made the playoffs last year for the first time after winning two district games. So apparently, things in Mustangland are right on track.
  16. Typically, Beechwood does not dress Froshman on Friday night. So 36 upperclass would be a very good size A team. (or is this counting froshman?)
  17. 7 Norwood 5 Brossart 3 Dixie 2 Berea 1 Newport 1st Tie Norwood by Amber
