  1. What does Brossart do now? Do you play a 3rd string freshman or move an experienced skill kid to that position?
  2. What was a close game turns into big Wildcat win. Brossart was stopped on 4 attempts from the one yard line before the half which could have made it 21-14. Instead Newport holds and carries the momentum into the second half. Brossart loses senior QB Jesse Orth to a pretty serious injury and had to be taken off the field by stretcher. A Brossart player said it was a dislocated hip. After that, it was all Newport. By the way, Brossart sported PINK jerseys in the game tonight for Cancer awareness. Good gesture on their part, but they were just plain ugly!
  3. Break Dancing! Alive and well in Louisville.
  4. Wow! There really are some over zealous people making statements on here. So I'll chime in as I see it... Brossart is not a football school and it will be years before they will be able to sustain any success. Some of those St. Joe kids do select to go to NCC because of football (I know, because if Brossart had not started a football program, I would have sent my son to NCC for the opportunity to play football). Brossart is no where near ready for the bump up to 2A. They only recently (as of last year had any success against their 1A district opponents). NCC has kept a core of quality coaches to continue their strong program. NCC players have bought into a tradition of winning and preparing themselves to be able to step in when it is their time. Until Brossart establishes a quality program with consistant success, they will remain a roller coaster team. The folks at Brossart thought the future was looking bright with a big sophomore class (with some good football players, like Equus Grevyi points out) and what they anticipated was a big freshman class. However, those frosh number did not materialize (some fingers were pointed to a former coach who convinced kids not play for BB's coach). As of now, there is too much disparity from top to bottom between these schools. Brossart has a handful of players that could play at NCC, just not enough of them right now. Bishop Brossart has enjoyed success in other sports. Football is lagging but I believe will eventually catch up. They know it is a David/Goliath story here. I know both teams will play hard. I hope both teams come out injury free (for NCC to go on a title run and for Brossart to continue to grow and build your program)
  5. Absolutely correct! You have two schools (Bellevue and Dayton) who are approximately one mile from each other. The street signs in Dayton are green and they are black in Bellevue. Go see O'Fallon Drive (the dividing line) where each city has a street sign on their respective side of the street. Are these schools periennial powers? No. But there is a true dislike for each other. Thus making this a great rivalry.
  6. Topless sunbathing is actually illegal. However, Cancun is a big vacation spot for European travelers, so it is usually overlooked.
  7. I would have to guess he could smell the clothing that was put on the soldier (assuming it was worn before).
  8. Get me a Diablo Sandwich and a Dr. Pepper...and make it quick, I'm in a (Gosh Dang) hurry.
  9. I thought the mention of shoe contracts was directed to the professional level. As in... if you come to UK, you will be a great player with lots of exposure and when you are a professional, sign a HUGE shoe contract!
  10. It is somebodies fault, but there are many places in the chain for communication to break down. There are typically 2-3 in management positions (general manager, front of house or shift manager (FOH) or kitchen manager/back of house (BOH) who usually works one shift, leaving one unmanaged. The BOH manager is responsible for ordering. Usaually 2-3 times per week. They have to "guess" how busy they will be based on many factors (weather, holiday, nearby special events, history, promotions, etc...). Order too much, you have waste and lose money. Order too little and you run out and have unhappy customers. As far as informing customers of the shortages, there is usually a board posted to write "86" items (means out of). The kitchen prep staff may forget to notify someone of the the 86, or the servers do not look at the 86 board. The delivery could be delayed or the supplier is out of a certain item. It is unfortunate, but it happens all too often in busy, franchise style restaraunts.
  11. Everyone knows ukfan has trouble with "L's"....especially when it comes to SK sports.
  12. How are the Tigers coming around this summer? Has the new coach finished a putting together a coaching staff? Did they have early summer practice?
  13. I would prefer to wrap up this season and have the detectives investigate a new murder every season.
  14. I was disappointed in the ending. I was really waiting to see somebody was framing Richardson, but didnt expect to see a cliffhanger. BTW, if she was being chased behind the gas station all the way to the park...who sped off in the car? Was there somebody else in the car? I dont think it was Belko. The reason for him shooting (?) Richardson at the end is that he was secretly in love with Rosie and wanted to get revenge. IMO
  15. Im going with Richardsons guy aide. I forget his name at this point. He has been a little under the radar. Plus he would have access to Richardsons computer and and campaign cars.
  16. Daudistel (Bellevue, center) left the game in the first half with a knee injury. He did not dress after halftime. The Brossart running back was Andrew Guidugli. He is a little guy. He was able to hide behind some blockers and make some really nice cuts. As to why Dale had so many Bluebirds--when teams dont sent their allotment of players (Dayton for example sent 1 out of a possible 5), that left extra slots. I guess the easiest way was to fill with people he knew.
  17. Thread Jackers!!!!! Hey what about Highlands chances for a title this year?
  18. Is there any way of knowing if the husky was a St. X fan?

  20. I was not surprised that Haley got the boot. I wonder if her fall on the steps cost her any votes?
  21. Indeed! The previous two years male enrollement average was 200. Last year, they were at 175. They missed the cutoff by one male student (Mayfield I beleive was the cutoff at 199). 175 would have put them toward the middle of 1A. KHSAA are you listening? I can see them being competetive with Newport, and Lloyd. Holy Cross will be a very tough opponent. They are not ready for NCC (this game is really a trade off since they do not play Beechwood in district)
