With so many good teams out there I was curious who everyone thought might not make it to their regional tournament. I'm familiar with the 11th region so here are two of the toughest districts in the state. I'm sure seeding/draw will come into this conversation as well. Without a doubt Omar Prewitt is wearing it out this year. He is an absolute stat stuffer in every category. Someone help me here but isn't he averaging a double double with 20+ pts and 10+ rebs? Also, he usually has 5 or so blocks to go with 5 or so assists. He will most likely be at Rupp to impress everyone there too. Willis and crew will have a tough time getting out of their region. My vote goes to Prewitt.

Hard to convince anyone that Woodford has outdone Scott County on the transfers. Pretty sure people are smarter than that. Hasn't been the same fan support since the '98 team won the state. Last years championship game was evidence of that.

But can the same be said for Holland?

This is the 1st annual Woodford County Invitational hosted by Woodford County High School Dec. 20-22. With the Fayette Co Inv not happening this year, this seems to be the premier event. Here are the first round games: Dec. 20 3pm Woodford County vs. Clark County 5pm Scott County vs. Dunbar 7pm Henry Clay vs. Frankfort 9pm Highlands vs. Jeffersontown Pretty elite competition!!! Should be a great event!

Heard this may change. Could be a seasoned guard coming in for Lafayette. If so, watch out, they are dangerous.

Woodford County beat Catholic 62-55 today as well.

Woodford County scrimmaged Grant County and lost the first 3 quarters by 3 but came out the 4th and beat Grant by 23 in the quarter. WC is in a rebuilding year as well after losing 6 seniors and all 5 starters but the cupboard is not bare. I know they are going to play Rowan County on the day of the Ky/In All-star game since they each have a player in the game then in the Lexington Catholic team camp, KBA state tournament, and the Bluegrass Championships in Frankfort.

I agree. Hundley seems to really value his opinion. Followed them all year and really liked The way they coached together. He played college ball at Shawnee State and brings all sorts of knowledge to the YellowJackets. Look for him to get some serious consideration.

I have heard that Meffords daughter is going to play for Woodford county next school year. I doubt he will be the coach.

Which school had the biggest hire of the day?

Do you think with all of Beckhams moving around and personality issues (so I've heard) that this hurt his chances to make the team? I would argue he is a top 13 senior in the state. Team chemistry is important though.
