Racke did start the game with the 1's. I thought he threw well, but, I was a little disappointed they started at the 40 I wanted to see if his range and accuracy on the deep balls improved since the spring game.

I believe you are referencing chris Hicks. You cited him last year on a special teams tackle he made last year in the Connor game. He wears #7.

I believe you are referencing Tanner Green who was the freshman QB last year. He has an unusual throwing motion and is tall and lanky. He is a work in progress for Coach Lucas. Kyle Heflin is the backup QB and is a senior. He will get significant playing time at slot receiver and some at RB. Cam Racke is the starter, although I'm not sure if it has been officially announced.

His dad told me he lost 20 lb over the dead period. Went to camps 2 out of every 3 days.

SK secondary showed vast improvement over the spring game where they could not cover anybody. Pleasant took a short pass , made juke move and scored showing really good athleticism. I thought the Scott QB struggled. Especially early. On a separate note, I heard SK has signed contracts with Cov Cath and Highlands next year for home and homes starting next year. Can anybody confirm?

Have to disagree with you on this one. More pee wee teams means more kids get playing time and experience. Everybody benefits. Kids who might otherwise never had played are getting experience and a chance to develop. This translates into depth later on and opportunities for late bloomers.

Are you saying that Campbell and Connor do not as yet have crisp passing games?

Just think, if things had been done differently at Boone, Thad Moss, Aaron Floyd and a lot of other talented players might still be there. Boone might well be a powerhouse now. I wonder whose colors Principal Floyd will be wearing when Cov Cath plays Boone?

If you are there to evaluate OL specifically, yes. Most of us are not that sophisticated.

I'd say OL can only be realistically evaluated as a unit. How many holding calls? How many sacks allowed? Total offensive yardage? QB interceptions? Etc.

I'm not sure that is a reasonable barometer of "skill". D1 offers tend to be more a reflection on raw athleticism rather than skill. I've personally seen a lot of 3 and 4 star OL with nearly all the measurables, with multiple offers, but highly unskilled.

Brandon Johnson of Dixie has to be in the top 5 on both sides of the ball, assuming he is playing both sides of the ball this year.

In the Top 5 6A thread, there are many folks putting X in the top 5 based upon reputation. We have heard from multiple X players at camp that expectations are low this year. Last year really broke the pattern of predictability in KY football, especially 6A.

Last year though, most on here would have applied that statement to Trinity, and it did not exactly turn out that way!

Simply responding to Redemption's post with my observation. Its not just that they lost, it is how they lost that would be a concern. That was not a physical freshman team last year at HHS.

Can't make an educated guess here. Teams like McCraken, Meade and Butler went deep in the playoffs last year and I have NO idea what expectations are for these teams. I know Male was young and graduated very little. They have to be a prohibitive favorite in 6A. Trinity will always be there. We did hear from some St. X players at camps that expectations are not high for them this year. So with reasonable confidence, I could list Male, Trinity and Scott County. After that, it would strictly be a WAG. Can any the fan bases from the teams out west weigh in? I know the Mayfield folks were high on McCraken last year.

Male yes, SK no. Some of the teams out west need to be considered.
