I don't think so. they are in excellent condition. This rivalery takes alot out of you emotionally and I think that was what was most draining on them.

I am very happy with the outcome of last nights game.That said HHS should be playing next wk. This system needs to be fixed. the entire state should play by the same rules. One of the best taems in the state should not miss the region. HHS will be missed. As far as the game went. NCC girls kept their composure all night and stuck to the game plan. Towels came out quick and score 1st quarter points while HHS used the pick and roll to get a mismatch with her underneath against smaller girls. Ron made the adjustment and stopped having Tabor switch off and stay with Towels and that seemed to limt her easy baskets. Katie Allen was lights out shooting. Hope Cutter played well. I can't figure out why they don't go to her more often. Once again another girl stepped up for NCC in Fryar she played tough and agressive all night (15 pts). These girls are so unselfish it doesn't matter to them who scores, just the W. Courtny once again showed she is the floor leader, the only time I saw HHS press in th 1st half was when she was on the bench. I won't go through all the girls but I should all of them bring something special to every game. Good luck girls.

I don't Know about the politics, but you should wait till after the tournament to vote on the team.

I took Boone earlier but definately could see the game going your way as well. You guys showed in the first game they can be had. It will take another effort like that one and maybe a little more . I look forward to seeing you guys at the region. I have not had the Pleasure yet and I have to work tonite or I would come out there. Should be a great game. Good luck to all the girls. It is nice to see your district has it right and both these fine teams will be where they belong next wk, regardless of the outcome tonite. HHS got dealt a very bad hand.

Haven't seen Ryle play and haven't seen Boone since wk 1. So my Prediction is lacking in firsthand knowledge, but I'll go with Boone in a tight one. 51-48. If you had to have true knowledge to give an opinion this sight wouldn't exist though.

They have a huge commitee that watch game film endlessly of the top teams and vote on it with some degree of knowledge. And it maight be a better way but that is a huge undertaking. to seed in district is very easy and requires only people voting to want whats best for the tournament on a whole and not just for their school at the presnt time.

It is a component in the Sweet sixteen because there isn't abetter way to do it. You can't just seed them by the rankings because no one has seen all the teams and has no way to know which ones deserve to be seeded ahead of the other. In the district there is a better way becaus e all the teams play eachother and you can use the records like 95% of the rest of the state. You still haven't explained your CONSISTANT statement yet.

I unerstand you support the blind draw and that is your right. It is the system we are stuck with. However saying it is more consistent makes no sense. How isit more consisitent other than the runner up consistantly being destroyed in the 1st round of the region. As far as the region not seeding that is true, but there are some differeces. 1. All 4 district runner ups have to play a district champ in the firdt round. 2. Only the region champ moves forward. Eliminating the chace of blind luck moving someone forward that has no chance in the next stage of the tournament.

I predict we all know the outcome in this one.

I was impressed with Conner last wk. Beasly can really handle the ball and distributes it well. They have great outside shooting with Taulbee and I believe th other one is Fischer. Should be a shootout. I,ll take Ryle, mostly on reputation, but Conner could pull it off if they get hot.

My bad I misundertood. Then I would say 2 dominant underclassmen and a very good group right behind them. I'm not sure about 4-5 D1 players but it is possible we'll have to see how they develop. As far as leading statistically that can be deceptive also. NCC girls get very little playing time against weaker comp. In most games against the likes of Holmes and lloyd, Ludlow, and many others, they play 1quarter or 2 max. While at some of the other schools the girls are in longer, putting up big numbers. I know of 2 girls in the last couple weaks that scored 48 and 26 points against Holmes in that game NCC girls played less than a half up 45 to 8 at half. I know everybody has blowouts but Ron tends to Pull the girls quickly when up big. Still I'm not sure I've heard your prediction for the game.

I would definately agree the most dominate player in the region has been an underclassman. After that though I would not agree. There are a few that lead their teams in scoring, but that doesn't always mean you are dominant. It takes leadership and contributing in all areas of the game to be dominate. There is only one team in the region with a legit chance of winning it that is lead by majority of underclassmen. That being said, I agree with sweeperboy lets keep it on the game. I disagree with his prediction though. I believe D will once again rule the day. NCC pressure should be able to rattle HHS as long as they stay ot of foul trouble. These two teams Bring alot of emotion into regular games and this is no regular game. the team that controls their emotions the best should be able to survive. Edge NCC with Ron Dawn keeping them focused.

I think everyone is cautiously optimistic the team they support can pull it off, but everyone is a little nervous to put it in print. I am no exception, however I do believe NCC can pull it off. They will have to shoot the ball better than they did against HHS and Boone, the first time they played them. I believe if they can get past HHS in the district they can get to the final. Since the game against Ryle was canceled I am making this prediction without having first hand knowlege of them. I wish we could have played the game, just so my prediction was based on more than a hunch and hope. So here it is NCC beats Boone in the final. I hope!

The double is $1.19. the MC Double is $1.00. But I agree with you the Experienc should get them through. Saw them in Lex Catholic over the holidays and they are very quick. Mercy has given them fits though.

I am not all that up to date on your district or region. However from an outsiders perspective, it seems a little overly optimisic to think it is theirs to win because of two solid showings.(one of which was a loss I believe). They just had a rough patch prior to that. They may pull it off, but I wouldn' t be suprised to see Bracken or Mason standing at the end.

Sorry, i misunderstood. Hard to tell sarcasm in print sometimes. I still see it as a 4 team race, but anything can happen. NDA is better than most people think. From what I've heard they have played through some injuries and have had a tough schedule. Conner is showing signs of life. but it will be tough for them to get out of their district. And of course Either NCC or HHS won't make the region thanks to the luck of the draw. LIke i said anything can happen.

I don't think so. One lackluster performance does not overshadow an entire season. I think the girls took the game a little lightly. That combined with not playing in a rael game in over ten days made for some sloppy play. NDA played with alot of emotion and grit. Not giving up even when NCC went up 17-4. They have more talent than you think. With wins over ETown and Lex Catholic.

I was very impressed with her as well as NDA as a team. Well coached and showed alot of grit, by not giving up early when they were down. They also had more athletes on the team than I thought. I knew they had talent wwhen you see the had beaten ETown and Lex Catholic. I can see Voskuhl leading this team places in the next few years.

I am very sorry to the people of Boone . No mean intentions meant. Mr. goldandblack probably did not attend BC and if he did he might have been sleeping during that class. I am sure BC is a fine school with many top student athletes. I just was trying to show him he should not deminish the kids accomplishments. I'll work on my delivery style in the future.
